Lest We Forget Top Folding Card

Hello and welcome friends!
I've been using up the few papers I have left of Authentique's patriotic collections. Hopefully they will release some new ones in the future. These I purchased over in Gettysburg awhile back.

I like doing A2 cards for a simpler design and especially the top folding style. Just a few embellishments go a long way on these. For this card I added on a copper filigree corner piece and a metal copper sentiment "Remember".

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Treasured Moment Card

Hello my friends!
We have the flooring guys here today with step one of this years update. We've been putting this off, and the Penmaker finally decided now was the time to tackle it. I'm really excited, but oh, the mess!

This friendship card has a combination of Kaisercraft Romantique 6x6 papers, ephemera, a paper doily, and Prima packaging.

For extras I added a Prima bloom and white crocheted lace. This card pattern and some of the supplies came from a kit I purchased at Scrapbook Super Store in Butler, PA... my go to shop for all things paper.
Thanks for stopping in today! Have a great Friday.

Lookin' Good Card

Hello again!
I'm doubling on posts once more, so this is my second of the day.

For this train top folding A2 card I pulled out some vintage 7 Gypsies paper (love this stuff and really hate using it up). I layered it with Tim Holtz denim from his Textile Surfaces by Idea-ology, along with dictionary paper and a scrap of graph paper. The screw head is from Prima.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening!

Vintage Car with Gears Birthday Card

Happy Monday Crafters!
Seems like we've stepped a notch backwards as far as the weather goes. Cold, dreary, and wet here, but my craft room is bright and cheery with it's new coat of white paint. Perfect place to be on a day like this.

Still working on cards with a more masculine look. I did another using the digi images of vintage cars... this one in red. I had one little scrap of the My Mind's Eye paper left with the red stripe in it, so  it worked out just right. I've been trying to use up some of my older 6x6 paper pads to make some room in a couple of my drawers. These things seem to last forever if you're just using them for cards.

More Tim Holtz fabric on this along with some of his gears, both metal and one cut with the Thinlits die set Gearhead. I keep some of these cut in Metallic Kraft paper on my desk at all times. They're a great go to embellishment.
Have a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by!

Make a Wish Vintage Birthday Card

Hello, welcome and Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms out there!
You would think I would have posted something a bit more feminine given the day, but this one was up on my list so I stuck with it.

Most of these papers are vintage scraps from my pile, along with my tea-stained copy paper and dictionary paper. This chipboard banner sticker is an oldie as well... from My Mind's Eye.

Tucked in the middle of the layers is a piece of Tim Holtz Textile Surfaces. I love adding some type of fabric to my cards to give more variety to the texture.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful Sunday and again...
Happy Mother's Day!

Vintage Car Birthday Card

Hello there!
Using a digi vintage car image as my focal point, I created an A2 top folding birthday card. I seldom make anything in the color yellow, but this car just rang my bell. I found a piece of scrap paper that teamed nicely with it, and did some stamping on it with Tim Holtz Bitty Grunge set.

Did a lot of layering... a tag, TH ephemera, Idea-ology Mini Paperclip, dictionary paper, tea-stained copy paper, and a couple die-cuts made with MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangles. The sentiment is from the Scrappy Cats set Birthday.

Have a wonderful day friends, and thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Football Celebrate Top Folding Card

Hey there!
It's a wonderful day in our part of the country. The windows are wide open and we're enjoying the breeze coming in and making everything smell fresh.

I have a top folding A2 masculine card up today featuring another digi vintage sports image. With it I grabbed up some more scraps from my pile and put them together with Tim Holtz Textured Surfaces corrugate and cork, and old dictionary paper. I tied on a length of natural burlap string, a scrap of torn fabric, glued on two My Mind's Eye chipped board buttons and one of their sentiment stickers. Love the look!

Thanks for stopping by and have a glorious day!

Lots of Layers Masculine Birthday Card

Hello there friends!
I've been working on building my stash of masculine cards with a few shabby chic girly ones in between. This one has a lot of layers consisting of old book pages, tea stained copy paper, and Tim Holtz ephemera.

For the sentiment I used the Alterations Tiny Tabs & Tags steel rule die and Scrappy Cats retired Birthday stamp set. The twine is natural burlap string from May Arts.

This layer has a combination of TH Textured Surfaces burlap and a Found Relative that I cut with an Alterations Thinlits Stitched Rectangle die. My card is topped off with a couple of Tim's Adornment Stars.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Hello Fall All Occasion Card

Hello friends and welcome!
We're having a warm rainy Fall day. Strange the way our temperatures have been up and down this season. It's Halloween... it should be cold. Nevertheless I'm still making Fall cards. Lots of them, using my Carta Bella Hello Fall kit from Scrapbook Super Station

This card called for several die-cuts. This main one is Avery Elle's Elle-Ments Horizontal Stripes. It
was part of the pre-cut kit contents, but I really think I need to purchase the die. I can think of several cool ways to use it.

I added a circle layer under this die-cut that came in the Ephemera pack, then I topped them with some foliage. For these I used Tim Holtz Thinlits Fall Foliage and Festive Greens. To make the foliage I took a sheet of 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock and smooshed it onto a selection of Distress Inks... Rusty Hinge, Carved Pumpkin, and Wild Honey... that I had misted with water, drying with my heat tool between applications.

The ribbon, burlap string, and tiny acorn charm all came in the kit, as well as the patterned papers and the kraft A2 size card base. The envelope was included too.

Have a great day and I'll be back soon with more Fall cards.
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Grayden!

Hello and welcome!
It's a beautiful day in Ohio... time to get out for some adventure. After a trip to the eye doctor that's what I'm hoping will happen. School started here yesterday, and I've had the glums since half the grandchildren aren't around now to hug.
My project I'm showcasing today is a card I created for 13 year old grandson Grayden's birthday. It's an A2 top folding base of Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb cardstock. The pattern papers are by BoBunny. I stamped the sentiment using the Concord & 9th Happy Words clear stamp set and heat embossed with Ranger Copper embossing powder. I added Tim Holtz Paper Dolls and some antique copper metal embellishments. I popped out two hearts after cutting a piece of  copper glitter paper with my Simon Says Stamp Clipping Hearts die and added those for a small touch of pizzaz.
Have a great rest of the week, friends!

Happy Birthday Card With Kaiser Rose Avenue

Hello and welcome to my blog!
Today I have another in my series of cards I created with the lovely Kaiser Rose Avenue card kit from Scrapbook Super Station.

If you check out the link for the kit above, you'll see that I've made some significant changes to the design. Just me being me. I first of all changed the base from the one provided in the kit to a top folding one made from Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb Solar White cardstock. I love the materials in this kit, and wanted to play around a little with the paper and die-cuts. So that's exactly what I did, replacing the focal point die-cuts and the design.

For finishing touches I added on some beautiful Studio Katia Crystal Clear Confetti. They add just a bit of  sparkle and glam. I tied on a small piece of the pink ribbon to the tag for some softness.
Yep, I'm liking this card!

Hope your having a great week.

Kaiser Rose Avenue So Grateful Thank You Card

Hello friends!
The week is slipping away, but there's plenty of crafting going on in the Breedlove house. I've made another card from the gorgeous Kaiser Rose Avenue card kit from Scrapbook Super Station. This one is created directly from the instruction sheet aside from a slight chance in the ribbon and pearls.

I'm loving this kit so much that the Penmaker drove us back over to Butler, PA, to purchase  another... four actually! They had added more new ones to their selection and the choice was difficult. Thus the four.

I'll show them all soon, but for now I just have to let you see my prize purchase...

I had to unbox it the minute I got home. They had recently received another shipment of the Tim Holtz Glass Mats. These things are so hard to find. They keep selling out everywhere, so I grabbed one up. It fit my desk perfectly... now I can't wait to try it out!

Have a wonderful, crafty day. Thanks for stopping by!

Together Is A Beautiful Place To Be Card

Hello and Happy Monday!
This is stacking up to be a very busy week for the Penmaker and me, so I'll get right to today's card. It's a top folding A2 anniversary or wedding card. I created this with the Kaiser Rose Avenue card kit from Scrapbook Super Station.

I did make some modifications to this one just like the others I made from this kit. I feel I need to put my own touches on the cards so they are truly mine. I added a bouquet of I Am Roses mini rosebuds in place of the flowers that came with the kit, but I tied them with the silver metallic thread and attached the charm as they suggested.

The materials in this kit are lovely... like this charm and pink half pearls.

I also changed up the sentiment die-cut to make this an anniversary/wedding card, and layered on an additional mat of pink patterned paper.
I'm nearly finished with this kit, so I'm seeing a trip to Butler, PA coming up in our future. Maybe I'll see you there.

Thanks for stopping by!

Trying Out a New Card Kit

Hello there and welcome!
I'm excited to show you a card I made from a new kit I purchased from one of the best scrapbooks stores you'd ever come across... Scrapbook Super Station. The Penmaker and I love visiting this shop in Butler, PA, and on our recent trip there, I bought one of their kits to try out. It's a Kaisercraft featured kit called Rose Ave. When I checked their website just now, I saw that they have lots of others that look fabulous as well.

I modified my first card slightly. Always like putting my own touch to what I make, but it's basically their design. As I went though the supplies, I can see I'll have lots of materials left over that I can use to create many more cards of my own.

I'll be showing you more of what I'm making from this kit over the next few posts.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

So In Love Anniversary Card

Hello folks!
Just popping in here today with a quick post and an anniversary card I created for our son and his darling wife. I've use the lovely Prima Love Story collection and an A2 top folding Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb card stock for the base.

Did a very simple layout here using some of the Love Story ephemera and popping it up with 3-D Scotch Foam Tape.

For the different sized panels I used my MFT Die-namics STAX A2 Stitched Rectangles set, and for the foliage, Sizzix Alteratations Thinlits Garden Greens. The white lace is from my stash. For sparkle there is silver glitter paper from Hobby Lobby and Pretty Pink Posh Pink Blush Jewels.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
