Gift Card Birthday Bag

Hi friends!
This is my second post for today. I still have a lot of projects I haven't showed you yet. I've been cranking them out right and left... just having fun creating.

This is a gift card bag I made for our dear daughter-in-law's birthday last week. So fun to make.

The perfect size for scraps. I layered on a Prima wood mat that I coated with white gesso, lace trims, a tea-stained doily piece, and dictionary paper.

The bloom is by Prima... very vintage. It's combined with lace snippets.

The resin bird is also vintage Prima. His tail was cracked, so I added on an additional feather to make him beautiful again.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Mini Gift Card Bag

Hello again!
This is my second post of the day. I'm back logged on projects waiting to be seen so I need to start doubling up.
This is a gift card bag I created for our son's birthday last month.

This is a simple make... quick and easy, utilizing that scrap pile on my desk along with some dictionary paper and tea-stained copy paper. I purchased the bags online some time ago. They're about 3 5/8" x 6". Perfect for a gift card. The name on the label is Annabel Gray, Purveyor of Necessities. I added a couple of Idea-ology embellishments... an Adornment Star and a Mini Paper Clip.

Eeyore Wall Hanging

Kids, grandchildren, and my eBay store... my excuses for not posting. Truthfully, that's it!
This morning we met our daughter, Sarah, her husband and their two youngest for our weekly free donut and coffee visit at Walnut Creek Cheese (view from the back balcony above). We get to sit and chat, catch up on what's going on, then do our weekly grocery shopping. It makes spending money for food a lot more enjoyable. We've been doing this for a number of years now, however we slack off during the summer months because of tourists. The store just gets too busy then.

Adelaide's third birthday was this past week, and instead of a card, I did this wall hanging for her. I found this paper over a year ago and kept meaning to make her something with it. We've watched Winnie the Pooh numerous times over these years she's been with us, and I know that Eeyore is one of her favorite characters. So now was the time to create a project that she can hang in her room.

When we watch the movie, we always sing the songs together. Life doesn't get any better than this... sharing it with grandchildren.

And by the way... our son, The Director and his wife are now expecting!
Yippee!

Headlines Pocket Card

Oh Boy! I created this masculine birthday card a while back, and now I can't remember what paper this is for the base.... maybe My Mind's Eye (because the brads are) or Teresa Collins. Is this what happens when you turn seventy years old (Saturday)?

The mats and fussy cut pieces are from the Timeless Type Stack from DCWV. The half photo is Tim Holtz Found Relatives.

The Filmstrip ribbon is Idea-ology.

The scissors came from The Funkie Junkie Boutique...

and the border was cut with my new Tim Holtz Alterations Stitched Ovals Thinlits set. The insert ticket is TH ephemera Expedition, with an added eyelet and scrap of inked text fabric.
I think I've said it before... I love the challenge of making masculine cards!
Have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!
