I was searching through a couple of totes for a piece of wood to make a layout when I came across this mini canvas and easel. I bought these quite awhile ago and had forgotten about them. What a happy surprise!
I started my little project with a snippet of paper from Prima's Engraver (one of my all time favorite collections) 6x6 pad. I applied it with Liquitex matte medium. When it was dry, I put down a thin coat of Liquitex gesso and a bit of water mix.
I added some Golden light molding paste with the CW Tile Texture stencil. I dabbed on some Lindy's Starburst - Tibetan Poppy Teal and Maidenhair Fern Green... misted with water and let it run.
I glued on a Prima Shabby Chic Treasures frame and wood butterfly colored with the same Lindy's products. The butterfly received a finishing coat of extra thick clear embossing powder.
No project is complete for me unless it has a flower or two, so I added a bit of green Spanish moss, some I Am Roses blooms and foliage cut with Alterations Thinlits Holiday Greens.
Well, I couldn't find that wood I was hunting for, but at least the search proved out to be successful. I now have a new piece of decor to adorn the shelf on our quarter sawn mirror in the living room.
Thank you for stopping by... and have a wonderful weekend!
Linda
