An Oval Floral Card with Kaisercraft 75 cents

This card is a little different in that the base is 4" x 8"... not my normal. The papers are by Kaisercraft, mainly the 75 cents collection. The green gingham base mate is from the Take Note collection.

The flowers are an assortment of I Am Roses gardenias, roses and rosebuds. I stained the leaves with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The ferns were cut with Alterations Holiday Greens Thinlits. I also tucked in a couple of pearl sprays.

Peeking out from under the flowers are two Prima medallions.

My stack of frames begins with the black dotted one I cut with my new Spellbinder's Oval Floral set. On top of that are cuts using Spellbinder's Scalloped Ovals and Classic Ovals along with a 75 cents sticker frame. Then comes a small square white, resin frame from Michael's dollar bins. One of my Momenta metal black birds sits above it all.

Thanks so very much for stopping by. I appreciate your visit!

October Afternoon Vintage Ladies' Card

I am happy to report that our granddaughter's birthday party was a success and they both liked their cards (big smile from grandma). So while I had out the box of October Afternoon papers to make Faith's card, I also created this ladies' card. The papers and the sticker sheet the ladies came from, are all from old Pixie Dust kits. I am little by little using up all the goodies from those beloved kits, but believe me my instinct screams HOARD.

The lace is from a garage sale my daughter scored for me sometime ago. I was hanging on to it, too. I really need to keep working on my de-stashing.

The flowers are, of course... Petaloo Botanicas with some of my new two-toned rose buds from I Am Roses. I tucked in ivory May Arts burlap string bows and Die-namics Fancy Flourishes.

The ladies sticker is resting on a doily cut with my Prima die. They are popped up with 3-D foam tape.

I gave the gals some jewels on their ears, belt and shoulder. After all, a girl needs a little bling.

Still lots of rain in our area and way to cool for my liking. Thankfully the sun was out for a short while this evening.

Thank you for stopping by!

A Vintage Ladies' Card

After making such a large amount of pocket cards, it's time to do just a standard 4" x 5 1/2" side opening, kraft based card. Do you sometimes find yourself in the habit of making every project in the same size, color scheme, style, and grabbing for that same bottle of molding paste or white gesso? I definitely have that problem, and am determined to shift gears and head a new way. For awhile any how!

As I said, kraft card stock base, although I did stick with Graphic 45's A Ladies' Diary, but only because it was handy on my table. I have got to force myself to put it back in it's box and pull out something else. I piled on several layers of paper and used 3-D adhesive foam in between most of them. I inked with Antique Linen Distress.

The fuchsia blooms are Petaloo Botanicas... my very favorite flowers at this time. I mixed in some ivory May Arts burlap string bows.

The doily was cut with Alterations Distress Doily. The little pearl clusters are from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I cut a piece from an ecru vintage lace doily and layered it with my chipboard vintage lady. Uhmmm... I like this card. It's a happy day!!!

And a
Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Thank you for stopping by!
