Farmer's Market Card

A little bit of this and that all combined to make today's fall card. This is is actually a birthday card for a dear friend, who tells me she loves that her's is this time of year because I always send her a fall themed card for her special day.

The card base is some Lunch Bag kraft paper. The pretty little golden flowers are from one of my old Pixie Dust kits as is the Webster's Page chipboard button.

A Petaloo Botanica and a heart cut with Alterations Mini Hearts from some Canvas Corp kraft corrugate. There's a snippet of May Arts ivory burlap string tied through the chipboard button.

I fussy cut the pumpkins from Graphic 45's An Eerie Tale "Abracadabra" paper. I did some layering with these for a dimensional look.

The beige teeny, tiny flowers are from I Am Roses.

My focal point is a mat of Canvas Corp kraft corrugate... they call it Flute. The Farmer's Market card was cut from the Echo Park's The Story of Fall "Journaling Cards" sheet. I am really taking a liking to Echo Park. Their papers aren't exactly my style, but I've been having fun making some cards that are just a little different for me.

Inside And Out

Talk about under the
gun. I created this card to enter in The Kraft Journal's Inside and Out challenge, and just discovered it ends in the next two hours. Last minute or what?

I started out with
my favorite Kraft cardstock... Lunch Bag Kraft. From there I built layers with The Timeless Type 8x8 paper stack from DCWV. Lots of edge distressing with my Tonic paper distresser, Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Distress Stain.

The chipboard pieces are
from Prima's Londonerry collection, the flowers are I Am Roses, May Arts black burlap string and ribbon from my stash.

From Idea-ology:
ChitChat Stickers, Long Fasteners, Mini Paper Clips, Mini Gears and Label Pulls.

The inside.

I really want to
show you this today... time crunch or not. The Penmaker did this one last night and I thought it was soooo gorgeous... just had to post this.

There are tiny birds
and flowers imbedded in the acrylic... wish these photos did it justice.

Now to enter that challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs!

The Kraft Journal Challenge #52

at The Kraft Journal Challenge, and I'm going with a Valentine...

I went with The Kraft Outlet's
Brown Kraft Cardstock as my card base and the rest of my papers are scraps. I am determined to use some of this pile of leftovers, or get a bigger desk!

I made the flower from
a piece of the burlap that came in the Tecolote PDP Kit, some vintage lace and a Prima Calcutta Dogwood from the Blue Moon Kit. I replaced the Dogwood center for the vintage heart button.

The doily is also from
Tecolote. The Distress Ink is Festive Berries and the jewels are from TPC Studio Timeless Christmas Collection. The narrow satin ribbon is by Darice and the bow ribbon is from Michaels.
All of The Kraft Journal's
followers who participate in their challenges for the month of January have a chance to be featured on their "Feature Me Fridays" posts as well as being entered to win a $15.00 Store Voucher.

Thanks for the visit!
Hugs!

Merry Christmas Tag

Yikes... can't I move any faster?
I have to make four more tags, but no time today. Here is one I made last night...

These terrific snowflakes
are from E.A.D. Designs, and are the most fabulous rub-ons I have ever used. Seriously, you have to try these.

Now I want to brag on
a card I received from Stephanie over at Ingenious Inking. You may know her as Smilyn Stef or half of the talented duo at Jingle Belles Christmas card challenge blog.

I am crazy for Kraft papers
and as you can see, this card is just ooozing with Krafty goodness. I love this set of stamps she used and the 3-D effect on the center square.

As you can see there is a bit of
sparkle on each square. Such a lovely touch! Thank you so very much dear friend!
Now one more tidbit... a win
at The Kraft Journal for my Christmas Greetings tag! Thank you to Beth Moore and the team.

Thank you for stopping by today!

The Kraft Journal Challenge #48

It's time to get your Christmas
Tags and Gift Card Holders made and join in a challenge at The Kraft Journal all at once. Here's one that I  made...

My tag is cut from The Kraft Outlet's
Brown Kraft Cardstock. The DP is Graphic 45's Christmas Emporium "Special Delivery" and Bo Bunny's Father Christmas "Stripe". I inked the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

I splattered and sprayed my tag
with Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist and put Rock Candy Stickles on the Sizzix #5 Dove's wing and on the Alterations Mini Holly. I tied on green crinkled seam binding and May Arts red twine.

The red jewels are TPC Studio's
Christmas Cheer. The Prima Sultan Gem came from last December's Pixie Dust Paperie Kit "Times Square Twenty 11".
Have you gotten all of your
tags made? I must confess that our Tennessee vacation has thrown me way off schedule. I need to get in gear.
Thanks for visiting!
Hugs!

The Kraft Journal Challenge #46

Challenge at The Kraft Journal this week and the Guest Designer for all of November is the talented Debbie Marcinkiewicz. Be sure to check out her outstanding work.
I was inspired by this video to make my project...

I started with the coffee sleeve
from my morning's Skinny Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks. I gave it a spray with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist and then glued on a couple snowflake jewels.

I cut this tag from a sheet of
Graphic 45's Christmas Emporium "Special Delivery"... added a wide red eyelet and red crinkled seam binding. I topped that with an Alteration's Mini Ticket cut from Lunch Bag Kraft. I stamped it with Black Archival Ink using the TPC Studio Coffee Cafe Set. I wrapped some Red Baker's Twine around it and glued on a Marshmallow Glimmer Misted mini rose from Recollections. The edges were sponged with Festive Berries Distress Ink.

Inside I tucked a package of hot
cocoa mix and a Starbucks gift card which came with a sample of their Via Ready Brew... a perfect, quick gift!

Thanks for stopping by today!

{Thank} ful

I'm so very thankful...
for my salvation... my husband, aka the Penmaker... my family... my blogging friends...
and I'm thankful to have finally finished this card! This was two days in the making... (mostly because this headache is still hanging on)... but I'm happy the way it turned out!

The base is Core'dinations Canvas
Texture Ice Cream and the mat base is Kraft Outlet's Lunch Bag Kraft. Atop that sits Imaginisce's Happy Harvest "Fall Into Fun" and Tim Holtz Kraft-Core #8 color from Core'dinations. The Gathered Twigs Distress Ink is from Tim's new fall seasonal collection and was sponged onto the paper edges.

This Spellbinder's Fancy Tags
Two was cut from the #8 paper and topped with a strip from Imaginisce's HH "Autumn Splendor". My triple loop bow is brown crinkled seam binding.

The #8 Kraft-Core was embossed
with Cuttlebug's Birds and Swirls Folder, then sanded. I used Spellbinder's smallest of the Large Classic Scalloped Circles to cut this Kraft die. The branch was cut from Tim Holtz Alterations Mini Branch & Leaf Set. I cut two of these from the Kraft cardstock and a scrap of a My Mind's Eye DP and glued them together for a drop shadow effect. I popped it up with foam adhesive and added some TPC Studio "Reel Me In" jewels as faux berries.

The chipboard bird is
from GCD Studio's Melody Ross Collection of chipboard birds that came in my October Blue Moon Kit. It and the branch were sprayed with Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:
City Crafters Challenge - Thanks*Giving
Heart Song Inspirations Challenge - Anything Goes
Little Scrap Pieces Challenge - Thanksgiving, Winter, Holiday
Shopping Our Stash - Stickers, Rub-Ons or Chipboard

The Kraft Journal Challenge #42 and The Penmaker's Fountain Pen

at The Kraft Journal this week.
The perfect challenge for my little pizza box that I learned to make here. I have been hanging out on You Tube for the last month, finding tons of great crafting ideas. When Sherry posted this one, I just had to try it.

The box is made from Basic
Grey's Oxford "Lacrosse" and the band is my favorite Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock and Basic
Grey's Oxford "Sorority".

I made the flower using Tim
Holtz Tattered Florals Sizzix Die with a sheet of copper and the Lacrosse DP. I inked the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink. For the leaves, I used Tim's Movers & Shapers Mini Branch & Leaf Set, cutting them from the copper. I then dabbed on some Oregano Alcohol Ink to give it some texture and a bit of color.

The stained grungy tag is one
from the Designers Assortment. My sentiment is from an old Sweet 'n Sassy set stamped with Vintage Photo DI. The rhinestone is from Recollections.
Hope you''ll join the challenge!

Now, I just have to show you
this fabulous fountain pen the Penmaker created for a dear friend.

The wood is Amboyna Burl.
The works are an "Elegant" component set... Titanium Gold and Rhodium.

Thanks for stopping today...
Hugs to all!

The Kraft Journal Challenge #41

This is my second post for today.
"Spooky Stuff" is the challenge
at The Kraft Journal for this week, and my entry is another Tim Holtz tag...

Remember on Tuesday, I showed
you the free tag I got to make at Archiver's Tim Holtz Week? Well before I made that one, my favorite clerk was showing me how to begin and I didn't get things lined up just right. So she gave me that tag to take home and play around with... which is exactly what I did. Can I show you how I created this second one?....

Since I was planning on making
a heavy weight flower, I had to reinforce the tag first. I did this with my favorite Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock from Kraft Outlet. I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and my Tim Holtz Paper Distresser.

I then taped the two together.

If it's spooky, you have goosebumps,
right? So I gave it a spray! Watch out with this stuff... I didn't use my spraying box... just laid it on my desk and went to town on it. Bad idea... my whole desk is now covered in Goosebumps!

Next up... my flower. I used my
Sizzix Tattered Florals die with some copper sheets and again the Lunch Bag Kraft. I distressed the Kraft with Vintage Photo DI.

Shape the petals by slightly bending
each around the handle of a thin paint brush...

then a bit of a bend back on the tips.

Do each petal this way, then hot
glue the layers. I push them down together with the end of my brush and hold for a couple seconds.

After it's put together, I like to
play around with the petals getting them the way I want. Then hot glue it to the tag.

I tied on some variegated seam
binding and a Tim Holtz Muse Token. I'm really happy with this tag that most likely would have ended up in the trash.
Now, come up with something spooky
yourself, and head on over to The Kraft Journal!
