Shopping Our Stash Challenge #16

The SOS Challenge for this week
is "Birds, Bugs or Beasts"! Go through your stash and get out your images/stamps/papers etc. relating to Birds, Bugs or Beasts (no people) and create. Think monsters, bugs, butterflies, animals, ogres and so forth. I won an American Crafts collection called Campy Trails awhile back that was just the perfect thing for this challenge. Here is what I came up with...

I made my project a shaped easel card
following Debbie Carriere's tutorial here. This is the first one I had ever done and found it quite easy and fun to boot.

I used Kraft cardstock for my
base along with the Campy Trails DP and embellishments. The base was cut with the Spellbinder's Labels One die.

The mini blossoms are from
I Am Roses and the leaves were cut with the Sizzix Branch w/Leaves die with Kraft cardstock. Be sure to check out the projects made by the Design Team... there are some really clever ideas... like Lauren's.
Thank you for your visit!

City Crafter Challenge #73

City Crafter Challenge for Week #73 - Easy As 1-2-3!
You need to have on your project-
1 ribbon
2 or more words
3 or more butterflies
Our Hostess is sweet Linda Robinson and Guest Designer is talented Lynnda Hosni from Melbourne, Australia. Be sure to visit her blog and leave her some love!
This is my offering...

The papers are from Creative Imaginations
teamed with ivory cardstock.

The roses and leaves came from
I Am Roses and the paper daisies were made with the Die-namics Rolled Daisy die from MFT. I inked the edges of the daisies with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and sprayed them with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. I added a pearl swirl from Recollections and seam binding ribbon from my Floribunda PDP Kit.

I stamped a Hero Arts sentiment
onto a Spellbinders Labels One die-cut, inked the edges with VP Distress Ink and popped it up with 3-D foam squares.  I finished with three butterflies cut from the Die-namics Butterflies die.
Thank you for visiting today and have a wonderful evening!

Kraft Outlet Challenge #35

at Kraft Outlet. This week the challenge is to come up with a "Grand" theme (in honor of Grandparent's Day). The Design Team have given some "Grand" inspiration and Guest Designer Debbie Carriere's blog is certainly worth viewing... "Grand" work there!
My entry is all about the
Penmaker's ancestry... His Grandpa, his Dad and little Penmaker...

For a small card, I used a
lot of papers... white and Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock, Black Magic Core'dinations cardstock, plus several papers from the Lost & Found Two Blush 6x6 Designer Paper Pad. All the edges were distressed with the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

If you look in the field in the
photo, you'll see grandpa's horse Maude. He plowed his fields to plant his crops with that horse.

Here I used a Grungy Tag
from the Designers Special Prim Tag Assortment and a Bo Bunny Timepiece Trinket.

I finished the inside with
the Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock and some of the scraps of the Blush DP.
Hope you've enjoyed this trip
back in time and a visit with my husband's family. It's a blessing to share them with you.
Have a "Grand" day!

Top Three Challenge Winner And A Bo Bunny Gabrielle Mini Album

Thank you Kraft Outlet for
choosing my card as one of the Top Three of the "Celebrations" Challenge. Love your challenges and your Kraft papers!

My first born, daughter Carrie, had a
birthday last week and I'd like to share some photos of a gift that I created for her using the Bo Bunny Gabrielle chipboard album.

I love making these albums,
but can't figure out have to photograph them to show the detail. I'll work on that...
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
