Christmas Gift Tags

Hello dear friends!
I wanted to share with you the last of my Christmas gifts tags made with my Sidekick by Tim Holtz. This machine proved to be a valuable asset, saving me a lot of time and unnecessary steps back and forth to my Vagabond. This has certainly been a good investment for my crafting.

Most of my embellishments have been from the Idea-ology Christmas line or Alterations die-cuts. For this tag I pulled out a vintage pack of Prima Christmas resins, and used this pine cone.

The sparkling clear confetti mix is by Pretty Pink Posh. You can get these at Simon Says Stamp here

For the last two years I've been picking up these pretty mini poinsettias at Hobby Lobby at half price. Perfect for tags.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

December 25 Tag

Hi folks! I hope you're having a great day!
With gift wrapping in full swing, I'm still creating tags and using them as fast as my fingers can put them on the packages. Today's tag is a bit larger than the ones I've been making with my Sidekick... a #5 size made from kraft paper I purchased at Hobby Lobby for half off.

To the tag base, I adhered some paper from the Idea-ology 8x8 Tidings Paper Stash. Then using Tim Holtz Mini Stencils set #31, I added a layer of Ranger's Distress Grit Paste. First time using this... and I actually called my husband into my craft room to show him how cool this stuff is. I should have bought this product ages ago. It's amazingly smooth for having grit in it! You almost need to try it yourself to understand how buttery smooth this texture is. Anyhow... continuing on, after it was dry, I pulled out my new package of TH Christmas Paper Dolls and chose this little guy... so cute... love the skates around his neck. I popped him up with fun foam glued on with Distress Collage Medium, tied on a piece of hand-stained or I should say inked, seam binding and this darling mitten charm from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

Now to quick write a name on the back and put it on a gift.

Five Little Gift Tags

Hi dear friends!
I have a few... five to be exact... gift tags to show you today.  These are so much fun to create... quick, easy, and filled with all my new Tim Holtz Christmas goodies. I cut the tag bases, of course, on my Sizzix Sidekick.

Just wanted to stay in touch.
I'm sure you're all busy with Christmas preparations, so till next time...

Thanks for stopping by!

More Sidekick Christmas Gift Tags

Hi friends!
So, I have a slight change in schedule. I got so excited making these little tags with my new Tim Holtz Sidekick, that I wanted to post them today instead of that last sympathy card.

Again, I did a variety of papers and embellishments, mostly using TH Thinlits dies and Idea-ology products.

I had forgotten about sentiments, so I pulled out the seasonal Chit Chat stickers... perfect size!

Another heat embossed on.

This is my favorite so far. I love this red plaid from the 8x8 Yuletide Paper Stash... it reminds me of an L.L. Bean flannel shirt.
If you have any questions, please ask. I think they're all pretty simple, though.
Have a wonderful day!

Some Mini Gift Tags with My New Sidekick

Hi folks!
I'm switching things up today with some Christmas gift tags made with my new Tim Holtz Sidekick. I have to confess, when I heard Sizzix was coming out with this, I said to my husband I certainly don't need another die-cutting machine. I have a Vagabond and a Cuttlebug, why would I need anything else. Then I watched Tim's Live presentation on Facebook and changed my tune. The convenience of having a small machine right beside me as I work could be invaluable. And it has proved to be just that. I LOVE this tool and I wonder how I struggled along without it.
Now to the tags.
My prep on these took longer than the actual assembling time. I started by cutting out a ton of tags from any and all Christmas paper scraps and my Christmas TH 8x8 paper stacks. Then I lined up all sorts of small embellishments and die-cuts made with my Alterations Christmas dies. I won't go into much detail on these. This first was heat embossed using one of the stamps that came with the Sidekick and white embossing powder. The tree die is from Thinlits Home For The Holidays.

This one is folded and opens like a card.

The dies are from Thinlits Festive Greens and Winter Wonderland. From Idea-ology are Tiny Bells and Wood Slices.

The dies are Thinlits Home For The Holidays and Labels.

Sizzix Bigz Candlelight.

The first of many.
I'll be back with the last card in my sympathy series.
Have a wonderful day!

Christmas Gift Tags

Hello and Happy Sunday!
I have two tags to show you today. I cut a few #5 tags to make for some of my Christmas gifts from kraft paper. My dish of scraps is growing at an alarming rate, so I really needed to work on taking that down a bit. This piece of Tim Holtz Paper Stash Tidings was laying on top of the pile so I grabbed it first. Digging through, I found this tree die-cut as well.

The "peppermint" and "Special Delivery" I pulled from the TH new Christmas ephemera pack. I cut the Thinlits Labels piece using another scrap... Echo Park, I think. The dyed seam binding and Baker's Twine came with one of my Funkie Junkie Boutique orders as a gift.

For my second tag, I used a negative scrap from a scalloped oval die-cut.

The image is backed with gold glitter paper. It was another gift from FJB. The florals were cut out with Thinlits Festive Greens from Classic Kraft Paper Stash and gold glitter paper. The red seam binding is from my stash.

Enjoy your day!

"Away In A Manger" Christmas Tag

As far as I know, this
is my final Christmas tag of 2013. Although I can never say that with certainty, as I may need a last minute gift and have to whip up another tag.
This beautiful image is
a freebie from the wonderful Graphics Fairy as was the image of those two darling girls from my post here on Wednesday. The tag base is BoBunny's Wasabi Double Dot paper and is layered with Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium. The two die cuts are Kaisercraft Just Believe paper cut with Spellbinder's Floral Doily Motif. The ink on the edges is Vintage Photo Distress. The flowers are from Petaloo and the leaves were cut with Martha Stewart's Oak Leaf punch. The silver tinsel is an oldie by My Mind's Eye Lost & Found. The eyelet is from We R Memory Keepers.

A Variety Of Christmas Tags

Sorry this post is so
lengthy, but I wanted to get as many tags on today as possible. Only one more day till the big one, remember. I'll no doubt be posting Christmas projects long after the 25th.
This grouping is created
with several different paper collections... Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet, Christmas Emporium and A Place in Time, as well as some odds and ends from Basic Grey, Kaisercraft and Echo Park.
Have a fantastic day!

Mini Christmas Tags And "Rejoice" Christmas Mini Album

These are two smaller
tags I created on 4.25" x 2.125" kraft tags from Hobby Lobby by The Paper Studio. The paper is Graphic 45, the gorgeous red flowers are by Petaloo and the stars are Artisan Chipboard from Pink Paislee.

Now for a few more pages
from my Rejoice Christmas mini album. Did you notice that the pages are alternated with kraft, black and white cardstock? You might also be thinking that you've seen the design of some of these pages before, which you would have if you visit my blog regularly. The basic pattern for this album is the Simple Treasures one by Laura Denison that I posted here in October. I just love this style, so I carried it out in the Christmas theme.

I really thought I could get
through this album today, but it looks like I'll have to go with one more post... just too many photos to show you.
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
