Truly Scrumptious Challenge #73

is the challenge at Truly Scrumptious. Here is my Smitten card that I am entering...

I used more of the My
Mind's Eye Love Me Collection for this one... "Banners", "Plaid" and the accessory sheet. The script paper was a scrap from my stash. They are all sponged with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

The pearl trim, lace, the
rosette and button were all from my stash.

I painted the Maya Road
chipboard frame with Americana Cool White acrylic paint. When it had dried, I brushed on a coat of gloss Mod Podge and immediately sprinkled on Twinklets Diamond Dust. It went atop my Etsy purchased image.

I used Spellbinder's
Lacey Circles die and a white paper doily from my stash.
The winner of this
challenge will receive a $20.00 gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp to spend online.

Thank you for the visit!
Hugs!

Let It Sew

This week at Jingle Belles, the challenge
is to make a Christmas card incorporating sewing... hand-stitching, by sewing machine or even faux stitching by using a pen, a stamp or rub-ons.

So... here is my take...

Warning: These are NOT your traditional Christmas card colors...
but they go nicely with the Jingle Belles logo, right?!!!!!

As promised, I am using the La Dolce Vita Kit again.
I thought these DPs all blended perfectly together: Glitz Love Nest - Damask, Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology - Darling Doilies, American Crafts Classics - Wizard of Oz, and Sassafrass Sweetly Smitten - Pen Pals.

I cut black cardstock and Darling Doilies DP with
Spellbinders Lacey Circles dies. Popped them up with 3-D foam squares and glued on a fancy brooch I purchased from an Etsy shop. Added some MS punched Oak Leaves that I had misted with Cotton Candy Pink Starburst Spray from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

I used Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares, cutting
both white chipboard and Pen Pals DP. I glued them together leaving a bit of the chipboard show for a shadowed effect.

The sentiment is from my computer held with a
Tim Holtz Memo Pin and paired with a bow of seam binding ribbon.
Hope you like my non-traditional Christmas card.

I just had to show you the Penmaker's latest
creation, since the color matched every thing else on this page.

It's made from an acrylic blank called...
can you believe this... Fairie Garden. A perfect complement to all the other fairies and gardens (paper that is) that I've shown the last few weeks.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
