Pocket Card w/Tag and Black Designer Pen

Again using up my stash of paper collections, I have another pocket card and tag made with Prima's Lyric papers and chipboard stickers.

The wood key is from a little shop we like to visit when we go to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

The flowers are all from I Am Roses and the foliage was cut with Alterations Thinlits Holiday Greens.

The twine is May Arts ivory burlap string and the wood butterfly is by Prima.

I left the tag plain so this card could be for Mother's Day or used as a birthday card.

The Penmaker created this Streamline pen from black designer acrylic and teamed it with chrome components with a Cross-style ballpoint refill.

I hope your week is going well for you all. We were planning a trip to the pen turner's gathering in Illinois, but decided to stay home instead and make pens and cards. The weather has been so nice, it's hard to leave here right now.

Lyric Pocket Card w/Tag and Designer Pen

I created this pocket card from the Prima Lyric collection matching the colors of the Penmaker's beautiful designer pen. The tag says Happy Mother's Day, but the sentiment on the front could work for a birthday as well.

The flowers are all from I Am Roses. The die I used are Sizzix Vintage Doily and Alterations Thinlits Holiday Greens. The Distress Ink is Black Soot.

A Mother's Day Pocket Card w/Tag and Pen

The Penmaker and I have joined together two of our creations for Mother's Day. His pen is a chrome Streamline ball point in coral and yellow designer acrylic. My pocket card is made with Prima's Lyric collection. The flowers are from Prima and Petaloo. I used two Sizzix dies... Vintage Doily and Holiday Greens Thinlits.

Happy Mother's Day Pocket Card

This week the Penmaker
and I will be attending the Mid-Atlantic Penturners Gathering in Richmond, Virginia. He asked me to set up a display of some of my paper projects that coincide with his pens. Then he asked me to make a Mother's Day pocket card to go along with the masculine one I created for the Bigfoot Conference. His wish is my command.

I made this one with Prima's
Stationer's Desk collection. The flowers are from I Am Roses and the foliage was cut with the Alterations Spring Greenery die I bought just a short time ago. It's really been getting a workout... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this die!!!

I know I showed this
before, but honestly, if you just take a little extra time and do some shading with a Ranger craft nib and sponge some ink on the edges as well, they look amazing. I like to take my tweezers then and shape the leaves before gluing them to the project.

The pen will be in a black
velvet pouch, but the color of this beauty matched the card so well, I thought I'd photograph it without one.
The paper clip and tag are
both  from the SD collection. The feather and ink bottle were cut with the Alterations Writing Desk die.
