To My Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is my final card for this holiday, but needless to say, the most important. I made this one for my sweetheart, The Penmaker.

Very vintage and shabby looking. The camera image is a nod to the fact he does all my photography.

The papers are a happy mix of MME Heirloom and Prima Delight. The flowers are teastained Petaloo.

My pretty little girl image is a digi. Zoom in and read the sentiment... so beautiful.

The two pearl hearts were a gift from Linda at The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

The Idea-ology Bliss ticket attached with one of their mini paper clips is for the feeling I have for our marriage... fifty years this coming September.

I want to say thank you to all of you who regularly visit my blog. I greatly appreciate you stopping by and for the comments... so encouraging. I haven't been able to write as many myself, and I'm amazed at how some of you are able to continue doing so when I know you're all busy. I try to make as many visits to your blogs as I always have... I  just can't always let you know that I stopped in... but believe me... you are all an inspiration. Love you all, my dear friends!

Again... Happy Valentine's Day!

Get Well Pocket Card

Lately I've developed a real appreciation for BoBunny. They've come out with some beautiful designs that I truly love and seem to lend themselves to my style. For this get well card, I used their Juliet collection along with a bird digi, my favorite Petaloo flowers and burlap string, as well as handmade glossy leaves.

We have granddaughter Adelaide to ourselves today, so I'm pretty busy... playing, marching, singing, and the other usual grandma activities. Truly, what a blessing!!!

Thanks for stopping by... and have a wonderful weekend!

Stitched Together with Love Card

When we took  our last trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, before Christmas, it was mainly to do our gift buying. However, I definitely stocked up on papers at the scrapbook shop as well. I just can't get much that I like in our local big box stores, and with buying online, you can't also get a good perception of the patterns. I found a collection by Carta Bella called Home Sweet Home that I adored. Even though it's not exactly my style, I've been able to mix it up somewhat with other brands and come up with cards that are "me". This sewing card is one of those.

Aside from the white cardstock base and the Echo Park Dots, the other papers are all Home Sweet Home. To me they look a lot like some of the old October Afternoon stuff that I've always loved.
The pretty pink leaf button is from Prima, the lace is vintage... from my stash, and the natural burlap string is by May Arts.

The tag was cut with Alterations Tiny Tabs & Tags. It's stamped with a Hugs Stubbie Stamper. My big teal flower is by Petaloo.

The doily was cut with Sizzix Vintage Doily. The chipboard piece is part of the Echo Park The Story of Our Family collection by Lori Whitlock. The small flowers are Petaloo and the leaves are from I Am Roses.

The gem is TPC Studio... which after much online searching, I've found they no longer make. I use to buy tons of these at Archivers when they still had their stores. Wow, do I ever miss them!!!

More snow today, so we're hanging out at home... the Penmaker's in his workshop making scores of pens and I'm getting ready to work on a Valentine's box with Adelaide as soon as she gets home from school with her mom.

Thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Garden Sympathy Pocket Card

I made this sympathy card using Jodie Lee's Printable Butterfly Garden craft papers. I normally go with a brown shade of Distress Ink for the edges, but today I did the sponging with Worn Lipstick for something different.

The tag was cut with Alterations Tiny Tabs & Tags and tied with natural burlap string. I heat embossed the stamping with Ranger's super fine detail gold embossing powder.

The white flower is by Petaloo and the pink ones are all from I Am Roses. I cut the leaves (Spellbinders Foliage) from a manilla file folder, inked it with Bundled Sage and Peeled Paint Distress Inks, then heat embossed with Ranger's utee.

The fence was cut with Spellbinders Floral Fence using plain white cardstock. The filigree antique bronze corner piece is from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

It's snowing and blowing here with the temperature heading downward. Ugh... I long for Spring... don't you? The Penmaker and I went out this afternoon and I couldn't wait to get back even after being homebound for nearly a week. Just a little too cold out there.

Thanks for stopping by... I really appreciate your visit!

Fairy Tree Birthday Card

I'm using some new papers I purchased when we were in Pigeon Forge, TN, before Christmas. These are from Bo Bunny's Enchanted Garden. I'm not sure when this collection was released, but I'm assuming it's been around awhile. I usually don't buy a lot of BB products, other than the vintage double dot cardstock, but several things really caught my eye... this EG being one. I loved the purple, teal and green combination. The tree isn't actually part of the collection, but is a chipboard accent from The Story of Our Family by Echo Park.

The frame is white cardstock cut with Alterations Ornate Frame die. I added a few TPC Studio gems and two I Am Roses tiny purple and white flowers that were a gift with a order. My other small roses are also IAR, and the big bloom is Petaloo. I have some natural burlap string by May Arts tied to the Birthday Wishes tag (cut with Alterations Tiny Tabs & Tags.)

The filigree antique bronze corner is from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I heat embossed my leaves with utee by Ranger. I cut them with Spellbinders Foliage die using Butterfly Garden printable paper I purchased from Jodie Lee's Etsy shop.

The gears border is a die I just got from 123 Stitch.com by Cheery Lynn Designs. It's Border #15.

Golden Bird Sympathy Pocket Card

The bird image is a dig and the papers are from Prima's Time Traveler. This is a versatile collection that works well for so many different themes.

I hope you had a good weekend. We are still battling some unknown illness, both with different complaints. Hopefully Monday there will be a change.

Thanks for stopping by!

You Hold The Key Valentine Card

The Penmaker and are are not up to par this week, so I'll keep my description short. The papers are Graphic 45 and MME.

Cotton lace from my stash, a Prima button, a key from The Funkie Junkie Boutique, and a half pearl from Queen & Co.

Ivory glittered flower by Prima and the others from I Am Roses.

Alterations Mini Hearts die cuts

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
