A Wallflower Get Well Card

 

This get well card for a friend of the Penmaker, was created on a kraft card stock base with mats of Prima Engraver from the 6" paper pad, Tim Coffey K & Company cut with Alterations Postage Stamp Frame, and Tim Holtz Wallflower from the 12" paper pad.

My hand dyed wool was cut with Alterations Mini Tattered Leaves die set and the tag with their Tiny Tabs & Tags. The twine is May Arts natural burlap string.

Forever and Always

The wedding card I created is basically all white card stock except for the striped layer which is a very old pattern from my stash of no-name papers. I used my scallop We R Memory Keepers corner punch on it, and popped it up with 3-D foam tape.

The two laces were scrap pieces.

The ferns were cut with Alterations Thinlits Holiday Greens and the doily is Prima. It's hard to see, but I also have a cut from my Spellbinder's Framed Floral tucked in there.

The Forever and Always chipboard piece is Graphic 45's Mon Amour. 

My white flowers are all from I Am Roses. They are white... not the creamy white that this photo is showing (sorry). The leaves were cut with Spellbinder's Foilage. They're edged with Bundled Sage Distress Ink to give just a hint of color. I shaped them with a paint brush handle.

My Favorite For Fall

This is my favorite design of the fall cards I've created so far this season. It's a fairly simple mix of patterns and layers. The polka dot paper is an Echo Park Dots & Stripes and the base is one from Tim Coffey by K & Company.

A Prima Serenity in a brown tone with a bed of cheesecloth.

A layer of kraft Canvas Corp Flute (corrugate) and one of my treasured wood keys from Tennessee.

Hand dyed wool leaves cut with Alterations Mini Tattered Leaves die set. A Webster's Pages chipboard button (from a Pixie Dust kit)  and a scrap of ribbon from my stash.

These golden yellow flowers are vintage Prima, and beneath it is a Sizzix Vintage Doily.

The girl image was cut from a sheet of Graphic 45's An Eerie Tale and under it is a cut from my Kaiserkraft 6.5" Vintage Timeless paper pad.

The Story of Fall Pocket Card

Going through my stash, I came across a bunch of October Afternoon embellishments I had forgotten about. These chipboard pieces are from their Farmhouse collection. I can't for the life of me understand why I hadn't used these... they're so adorable and lend themselves perfectly to a fall theme. I mixed them with my Echo Park The Story of Fall papers.

A wood key from my favorite wood shop in Gatlinburg, Tn.

A Petaloo Botanica and some brown embroidered leaves... which came from Surplus City in Lavale MD. I'm hoping to be able to make a stop there in a couple weeks when we head back home from New England.

The ecru cotton crocheted lace is also a Surplus City item. The tiny yellow and orange blooms and leaves are Petaloo Darjeeling Petites.

The teeny golden rhinestone is from BoBunny. The piece of ephemera I stamped with Fall, is from the Farmhouse Miscellany. The frame underneath was cut with Sizzix Frame die.

Farmer's Market Card

A little bit of this and that all combined to make today's fall card. This is is actually a birthday card for a dear friend, who tells me she loves that her's is this time of year because I always send her a fall themed card for her special day.

The card base is some Lunch Bag kraft paper. The pretty little golden flowers are from one of my old Pixie Dust kits as is the Webster's Page chipboard button.

A Petaloo Botanica and a heart cut with Alterations Mini Hearts from some Canvas Corp kraft corrugate. There's a snippet of May Arts ivory burlap string tied through the chipboard button.

I fussy cut the pumpkins from Graphic 45's An Eerie Tale "Abracadabra" paper. I did some layering with these for a dimensional look.

The beige teeny, tiny flowers are from I Am Roses.

My focal point is a mat of Canvas Corp kraft corrugate... they call it Flute. The Farmer's Market card was cut from the Echo Park's The Story of Fall "Journaling Cards" sheet. I am really taking a liking to Echo Park. Their papers aren't exactly my style, but I've been having fun making some cards that are just a little different for me.

A Fall Pocket Card and Our Happy 49th Anniversary

A quick run through of some photos of my latest Fall pocket card made with Graphic 45's An Eerie Tale plus some bits of My Mind's Eye and a scrap of a gorgeous green plaid. Added some cotton crocheted lace, a Webster's Pages chipboard button, a BoBunny trinket, and Petaloo Botanica blooms and leaves. The teeny, tiny rhinestones are from TPC Studio.

We have big plans for the day so I'll be off.

Happy Birthday To My DD

It's a beautiful day here today, unlike what we've been experiencing. You can certainly feel the change into Fall. Since our daughter's birthday is heading into the season and I had all the Fall collections out on my desk, I figured why not make her a card with what was at hand. The only new element is the Prima wood bird... everything else is pretty much what I've been using.
