Christmas Mini Album Cover

Here is what I ended
up doing with the cover. Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions. I thought the acetate would be great, but was unable to find the right way to pull that off.

 So in the end,
I went to my go to flowers. I cut some leaves with Alterations Mini Holly die and added I Am Roses red/white blossoms and red roses in two styles.

Memories is written
in Idea-ology Ransom Alpha Parts. I didn't think it covered up too much of the fabric.

I tied an Idea-ology
bauble into the twine binding. Believe me, that twine certainly had shortened up from where it started out. I really meant to keep this album thinner than most of mine, but failed miserably. As you can see... quite the chunk!!!

I love this Prima
packaging sticking up at the top... lots of fun elements in this book.
Happy place!!!

I bought the Idea-ology
Worn Cover at Hobby Lobby last week, so I'll be starting an album with it next... or so I think. I do have three cards to make yet today in between weeding the shade garden and planting lettuce. Busy spring days... but isn't it great to get out in the sunshine! What all do you have going this week?

The Final Pages

I am happy to say
that I've finally finished my Christmas mini album. Here are the last of the pages...

I did some mixed
media on this one. Used the new Prima mask Poppies and Peonies that I bought at Scrapdoodles last week when we were in Virginia, along with some Golden molding paste. I randomly brushed on a little gesso around the page edges and on the Alterations chipboard Weathered Clock. I backed the clock face with a scrap of DP and brushed on a coat of Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint. I fussy cut the snowflakes from paper in the 6x6 KaiserCraft  Just Believe pad. The lace is from Hobby Lobby and the flowers are a mix of Prima, some topped with their Say It In Crystals. The deer is also Prima that I antiqued with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I did the same process
on the background here as with the previous page. I stamped a scrap of the DP with Jet Black Archival ink and tore a strip from it. Applied Walnut Stain DI to the edges. More Prima finishing touches.

I kept this one
fairly simple with just a bit of the HL lace and a couple Petaloo flowers.

Lots of paper layers
on this one with a larger grouping of Petaloo flowers, leaves, a My Mind's Eye brad and some red crystal sprays from my stash.

You can tell this
is the last page... my ideas were exhausted. I was glad to be done and topped the page off with a two layer Prima flower with a MME brad. Now to finish that cover!

Coming To An End

 Again I took my
Christmas mini album and supplies along on our vacation. This time, however, I didn't have an extra room in the condo as I did at the TN cabin to work in. Instead, I had to set up everything on the kitchen table. Let me tell you, I have an all new appreciation for my studio. This is the first time I have had to pack away all my supplies in order to have a meal. I am so totally thankful for my little room where I can create and leave it all laying out on my desk... what a blessing!
Here is what I completed...

I'm down to the
final couple photos, so hopefully I'll get it wrapped up now that I'm back home. I'm not sure if I'll do some embellishing on the cover or just leave it as is. What do you think?

This is the original
cover with just a few rhinestones. I think maybe a title would be nice, but where? Any advice? I need some help on this one, friends!

Scrapdoodles

Hi friends!
Just checking in to say the Penmaker and I are back home after our trip to Virginia. I have lots to do today... grocery shopping, babysitting, resting. It's not looking like I'll get anything made in my studio, so that gives me the opportunity to show you a couple of photos we took at a fabulous scrapbook store in Fredericksburg called Scrapdoodles.

I was overwhelmed
by the amount of product in this store. I literally picked up a basket and started filling it as soon I walked through the door.

I purchased the new
Prima Lyric collection in the 12 x 12 designer papers as well as Pink Paislee's Hope Chest. I also got the Secret Garden collection by Graphic 45. They had so many papers to choose from, I'm sure I didn't see them all.

I bought several
new items in the Idea-ology line, a Prima stencil, We R Memory Keepers eyelets and a KaiserCraft file set.

They had lots of
mixed media supplies I would have loved to gotten as well, but I had to draw the line as to how far in debt I was willing to go. As you can see, I didn't leave empty handed, and went away with the promise to return the next time we are in the area.
Check out all the Scrapdoodles info here.

75 Cents Paper Bag Mini Album

Hi! I hope you're
all having a wonderful Sunday. I'm excited to show you the new mini album I made using two paper bags from Michaels and the KaiserCraft 75 Cents collection.

The front and back
covers are made with the black Celebrate It paper bags in the 4 5/8 x 2 7/8 x 8 5/8 inch size.

The cover has one
pocket with a tag for a photo and journaling. The flowers are by Prima and I Am Roses. The die cuts are all from the 75 Cents Collectables.

The cover backside..
a large photo spot and a pocket with three tags. Also a small tag tucked under the round butterfly die cut.

The second page is
a leftover piece of black chipboard I just couldn't throw away, and glad I didn't. A pocket with a tag for a small photo or journaling. Some very old butterflies from a piece of Recollections bling I've been hoarding.

Backside...
another pocket with a Graphic 45 Staples envelope...

with a tag inside.

Third page is made
from a Prima flower plastic package. A photo spot and a tag for journaling. The lace is from Hobby Lobby.

Backside...
a pocket with two tags for photos and journaling.

The fourth page
is another leftover chipboard piece with a pocket and a tag.

Backside...
with a pocket and tag.

Back inside cover...
with a foldout that can hold four photos and two journaling tags.

Another tag in the side pocket.

Back cover...
a photo tag in the side pocket (the tags have tabs cut with Die-namics File Tab) and two photo tags in another pocket. A wooden timepiece from Prima. Lace from my stash. The binder rings are from Staples and the wide eyelets are by Memory Keepers.
Sorry for all the photos.
I try to keep to short, but it's hard. Hope you enjoyed looking! You really need to try this! Great fun!

More Prima Printery

Yep... I'm still using
this Printery collection. I've been having so much fun with it... and after I finish one card, I think of another I want to try.

This one I kept
pretty basic with just the addition of an ATC from my stash. The border strip was cut with a Martha Stewart punch. The flowers and leaves are all from I Am Roses.

Have a lovely day, dear friends!
