It's Your Day! Birthday Pocket Card

Hello and thank you for the visit!
Today I want to share a birthday card with a fun vintage sport theme. I have a plethora of papers on this one from several paper pads and sitting on a base on Bo Bunny Vintage Dot.

Along with all these layers is a timepiece from Hobby Lobby...

and a Tim Holtz Buckle from Idea-ology. I stamped my sentiment with a stamp from the Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages set.

This is an extremely short post, but truthfully we just got back from Ikea and I have some new cabinets to put together for my craft room. I'm sure you understand.
Have a wonderful evening.

Be My Valentine Mon Amour Pocket Card

Happy Monday morning!
Another day... another Valentine's Day card! I love 'em.
For this one, I again chose Graphic 45's Mon Amour. I think the black text paper is my favorite in this collection. It's gorgeous with the pinks.

I fussy cut the couple, making them the center of attention... so cute! In back is an Alterations Thinlits Doily. The two hearts are from Crate Paper's Main Squeeze heart stickers pack.

For my white glitter heart and the smaller gold one, I used Simon Says Stamp's Small Heart Doily set. I left the center in tack on the gold heart, but you can pop that out if you wish. For the sentiment, I used Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages. The beautiful flower with the beaded center is by Prima.
Wishing you a fantastic week.

Travel Theme Birthday Pocket Card

Hello dear friends!
I'm a bit under the weather today, but really wanted to get this travel theme birthday card up to show you. It's a big combo of papers... a fun mix. Some Photoplay, Tim Holtz, Graphic 45, DCWV... who knows what all is in here.

This piece is definitely G45, but I can't remember the collection. It's been laying in my scraps pile for ages and finally fit in somewhere. It's backed with some TH Metallic Kraft that I embossed with Alterations Diamond Plate Texture Fade. Two Hex Fasteners hold things together.

Also in that stack of layers are some gears cut with Thinlits Gearhead. From my same scraps pile is that strip of fabric leftover from a previous project. It's a piece from Textile Surfaces.

Under my Paris car digi is another Metallic Kraft mat embossed with the other TF from the set, Riveted Metal. These worked perfect for this theme, I thought.

To tie in the red, I added some TH ephemera and added a strip of hand dyed wood to my sentiment tag along with a wide, gold eyelet.
I love making these masculine cards... they're always a challenge.

Love Changes Everything Valentine Pocket Card

Hello again!
I do believe I'm living out of just my craft room. Seems like I'm doing a marathon of card making. I love it!

For today we're back to Valentine's Day cards. This one is a combination of Graphic 45 Mon Amour and Love Clippings by Prima from the 8x8 paper pad.

Here I used the Simon Says Stamp Clipping Heart wafer die... cutting one from their Schoolhouse Red cardstock and another from gold glitter paper from Hobby Lobby. I popped out the hearts leaving just the frames and did an inlay for both sets. For this card I used the gold frame with the red hearts. Now I have another set I plan on putting on another card. I cut the doilies with Alterations Thinlits Doily die.

The gorgeous red glittered flower with the beaded center is from Prima and my white organza bow is ribbon from Joanns. The mats are more of that lovely glitter paper from Hobby Lobby.
Sighhh... don't you just love Valentine's Day cards!

Man Walking His Dog Birthday Pocket Card

Hello there!
I hope you're having a good day!
I've switched from Valentine's Day cards to a masculine birthday card for something different today. This one is made from a number of papers from the Photoplay collection This Guy. I used The Alterations Stitched Squares Thinlits for one of the layers. The metal corner piece is from my stash... I think it's probably by Momenta.

I mixed in several Tim Holtz Idea-ology ephemera pieces from different collections and one of his Paper Dolls. Also added a Hex Fastener to my sentiment strip. The Happy Birthday stamp is from the Clearly Besotted set Many Mini Messages. The digi image was purchased online at KristieArtDesign.

It's freezing here again, so I'm going to hide away in my craft room, stay warm, and make cards all day.

Let Me Count The Ways Valentine Pocket Card

Hello dear friends!
I started writing this post on the weekend, but it just wasn't going to happen. So let's see how I do with it tonight.
This is another of my Valentine's Day cards made from the gorgeous Mon Amour collection by Graphic 45.

I added just a couple of other elements like this Prima beaded center flower, a few leaves cut from gold glitter paper and an Alterations Thinlits die, and those stamped word blocks I created using the Simon Says Stamp Really Like You stamp set and their Cotton Candy cardstock.

For a bit of glitz, I brought in some Crate Paper's Main Squeeze heart stickers.

And that's it for this card. I loved the way this turned out... love that black text paper.
I hope you're all having a wonderful week. Please drop in again soon.

Happy Valentine's Day Pocket Card

Hello dear friends and Happy Weekend!
For this Valentine's Day card I pulled out my January Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. As of today these kits are still available so you may want to pick one up here.

Along with my kit I used some 12x12 sheets from the Pebbles Forever My Always collection, Echo Park's Valentines Dots and Stripes, plus Crate Paper's Main Squeeze heart stickers. To match the heart stickers I also added in gold glitter paper as mats for some of my layers.

The flowers are by Prima... love these beaded centers. My pink nylon and pearl trim is from Hobby Lobby. For my die-cuts... Spellbinders Oval Florals and Alterations Doily and Stitched Squares.

I have to say I'm loving making these cards. Although I'm not a pink lover, there is something to say about a pink Valentine. They just melt my heart.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday with a Valentine Look Pocket Card

Hello sweet friends!
I hope your week is going well and thanks for coming to visit!
I'm excited to show you my card for today because it's one of my favorites of all the new ones I've made lately. It's a little different in the fact it's both for a birthday and Valentine's Day.

This post has lots of photos because... as I said... I really love the way this one turned out and I want to show you all the details.

In this shot notice the pretty tin heart... some of my vintage Valentine stock... by TPC Studio. The "happy" was cut from Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft with Avery Elle's Elle-ments Sentiments Too. It's sitting on a little pocket with a tiny tag from the Graphic 45 Mon Amour Tags & Pockets

My little banner is stamped with AE's Sentiments Too matching stamp set.

The gorgeous flowers are by Prima. I love this collection as some of the flowers and the leaves have a bit of a gesso-like finish on them. The colors are an exact match for this Mon Amour collection.

The double frame was cut with Alterations Ornate Frame... the oval one they came out with first, which is my favorite of the two in the Bigz line.

The tiny heart foiled paper is Prima's Love Clippings.

I tied a double, white wrinkled seam binding bow onto the tag through the red, wide eyelet.

There's a ton of craft foam and 3-D foam adhesive on this card... lots of dimension.

I would love to hear what you think about my card. I know we'll all busy, so I completely understand if you can't leave a comment. I am happy with this one though.

I Carry Your Heart Valentine Pocket Card

Hi friends!
I hope your having a wonderful day!
I'm moving on with Valentine's Day cards... this one being in red and created from Mon Amour by Graphic 45 and Love Clippings by Prima. I've been buying up love themed product but for this card I've used my older stock except for that gold glittered corrugate from Hobby Lobby.

The glitter isn't actually a golden gold, but more of a champagne color. I love it's softness whatever the shade is. It worked well with my Christmas themed cards, and I'm finding it's lovely with the pinks, corals, and reds for my Valentines as well. In fact so much so, we made the long drive up to Fairlawn to Hobby Lobby to purchase more on one of the days we were able to get out due to a brief rise in the temperature.

The gorgeous red bloom, glittered and beaded, that I used is from Prima's Christmas collection from two years ago called Sweet Peppermint. Perfect for Valentine's projects as well with all that lovely glitter.

The heart was cut from Simon Says Stamp's Schoolhouse Red cardstock with Spellbinder's Classic Hearts.

The doily is cut from Alterations Thinlits Doily and my corrugate was cut out with their Stitched Circles. The ribbon I used for my tag is organza from Joanns.

The beautiful sentiment "I Carry Your Heart With Me I Carry It In My Heart" is a cut apart from the Mon Amour 8x8 paper pad. If you are a Hallmark movie fan like I am, you may have heard it quoted in one of their Christmas movies this last year.

I hope you have a happy and productive week creating.

You Are Loved Valentine's Day Pocket Card

Hi there!
Today I'm showing a Valentine's Day card created from lots of Graphic 45 Mon Amour papers and cut-aparts. This collection has long been a favorite of mine for Valentine projects, and as my stash of it dwindles, it's poignant knowing soon it will be gone. Oh the bright side, that means another shopping adventure for new product to replace it (big smiling emoji).

I love the romantic feel of this card. The layered hearts alone shout the word "love", or maybe they softly whisper it. In this one photo four different dies were used. Alterations Mini Hearts (2) and Thinlits Doily along with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares. I adore that black and ivory text pattern underneath it all.

Awhile back, thinking ahead for once, I purchased all the pink Prima flowers I could find. These are two of the gorgeous one I bought teamed with I Am Roses green leaves and May Arts ivory burlap string tied into a double bow. I pulled out a Seasonal Chit Chat Sticker by Idea-ology and added it to a mini banner I cut from a scrap of the G45.

The "You Are Loved" cut-apart is backed with my Hobby Lobby bargain gold glittered corrugate and popped-up with white craft foam.

Of course my tag wouldn't be complete without a wide eyelet and a bow... this one of white wrinkled seam binding... my most loved ribbon.
I hope I've given you a little Valentine inspiration. Please come back soon... I have lots of cards made already to show you.

You N Me Valentine's Day Pocket Card

Hi dear friends!
Looking to forget winter, if only in my imagination, I'm focusing on Valentine's Day cards. I recently had a special order for several which forced my to take a long hard look at my stash and do some serious shopping... which is still not complete. I started out by ordering a Simon Says Stamp Kit of the Month for January (my very first) called Favorite Person.

I absolutely fell in love with everything in this kit and ordered more of the papers plus a few others and some matching embellishments. Now I have a start, and this was my first Valentine's Day card of 2018. Since I liked the Prima Love Clippings collection in the 12x12 I ordered the 8x8 paper pad. I teamed it with some Echo Park Dots & Stripes Valentines in pink along with white glitter paper by DCWV and Kraft Metallic in gold.

I cut some foliage using Alterations Thinlits Festive Greens and Garden Greens. The flowers are from 49 and Market. The doily was cut with Tim Holtz Thinlits Doily and the hearts with Spellbinders Classic Hearts. I also added in a vintage cut-apart post card by Marion Smith.

Now that I have some substance to my Valentine stash, I'm off and rolling.
