Spiderman... American Hero

Well, I know I'm stretching it a bit...

but I thought it made a good masculine card anyway!

These are some more of those great papers I bought
at Forevermore Scrapbooks in Gettysburg, PA on our trip in April.

Did lots of laying and inking with Ranger's Brushed
Corduroy and Faded Jeans Distress Ink. Finished with a Tim Holtz Ideaology Metal Corner.
I like this one... different... but I like it! Hope you do too!

Have a Happy Day!

Nahum 1:7

Today I want to show you another
masculine card I completed. This card, like the last masculine card I made, is nearly all from Pixie Kits.

The papers are American Crafts Classics - Secret Garden,
Pink Paislee Old School - School Days, Prima Botanical - True Words and white cardstock.

Glitz Hoopla - Pipework DP was cut with Spellbinders
Labels Two then distressed with Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and Ranger's Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used a clear stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Popped this up with Therm-O-Web 3-D Foam Squares and attached some Tim Holtz Metal Foliage.

Lastly, I glue on a Bo Bunny Timepiece Trinket.

Thanks for visiting on this beautiful Sunday!
Have a Happy Day!

Man Card Deplete, Again?

Oh no!!!
In checking my stash of masculine cards,
I see that there is only one left again. So you will be viewing a lot of cards for men in the next few days with the exception of one surprise.
Here is todays...

I pulled out three Pixie Dust Paperie Kits
to come up with most of my supplies... Canary and Kraft AC cardstock, Pink Paislee - Back 2 School and Curriculum and a My Minds Eye brad.

Did lots of inking (Ranger's Vintage Photo
Distress Ink) and distressing (Tim Holtz Paper Distresser). Borders were punched with MS Scallop Dot Punch.

Embellished with Tim Holtz Salvage Stickers
and stamped one of June's yellow tickets with my sentiment.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges...
Sugar Creek Hollow - Masculine
Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central - Masculine

Have a Happy Day!

Butterfly Garden Again?

Are you getting tired of me saying
that Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden is my favorite paper right now? Well... just can't help it!

To be truthful, I've used My Minds Eye DP here also.
I fussy cut the roses and butterflies and covered the chipboard frame all from the 6 x 6 Butterfly Garden Collection. I applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the frame edges and a bit of lace.

Put a little Prima bling, Recollections pearls and
flower spray, and a small bow of seam binding from a Pixie Kit  for some pazazz.

I painted the chipboard frame with Ranger's
Snow Cap White Dabber Paint, added Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint and rubbed on Antique Linen Distress Ink.
I'm entering this card in the City Crafter Challenge #58.
Lovely Cheryl Nelson is hostess this week and it's all about frames.

Be sure to check out what the Design Team
has come up with to inspire our creations. Guest Designer is Colleen Dietrich with a wow of a project!
Won't you join me in entering?
Have a Happy Day!

Country Estate

This card is a bit different...
not my usual color pallet, but something I wanted to try.

The papers are both sides of Webster's Pages Country
Estate - Restful Retreat and Core'dinations Core Amore - Rendezvous. I used the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser on both, then inked with Ranger's Antique Linen.

I used the Die-namics Butterflies die (all three) to make
the stacked butterfly and Spellbinders Labels Two and Lacey Circles for my sentiment. Added a My Minds Eye brad and edged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

A Tim Holtz Memo Pin holds the Prima Bird Vintage
Trinket that I colored with TH Silver Alcohol Ink. MS Oak Leaf Punch was used on AC cardstock for the leaves, Prima and Recollections flowers and trim from Frog Feathers.

Recollections bling adds the finishing touch.
I'm entering this card in these challenges:
Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes
The Emerald Faerie Garden - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Always Anything Goes

Have a Happy Day!

May Challenge At CupCards {to go}

I saw this challenge at CupCards {to go} and thought
it might be fun to enter... incorporating ruffles into your card.

Hope these ruffles are ruffly enough.

The designer papers are from the Daydreamer May Kit.
I fussy cut the flower and added a Glimmer Misted mini rose to the center with leaves cut with the MS Oak Leaf punch and glittered with Stickles Shabby Shutters.

I topped it off with one of June's famous pins!
Try this challenge... you have until May 31st to enter.
Have a Happy Day!

The Wedding Card

I showed you a wedding card the other
day I had made for some friends. Today I want to show you the wedding card that I made for my son and daughter-in-law.

Every part of this card, except for the Prima and Recollections
flowers and computer made sentiment, came from Pixie Dust Paperie Kits. I just wanted to use the best for this special card.
Have a Happy Day!

Count Your Blessings

Thank you Pixie Dust Paperie for
having me as your Pixie Guest today. It's an honor for me to have you feature my card.

The cherry, stamp and butterfly were fussy cut and popped
up on dimensional foam squares.

A Tim Holtz Bauble and Fanciful Button came from
Pixie Kits.

Can't make a card without pearls right now.

These beautiful papers all came from the October
Pixie Kit - Fall in Love. Be sure to check out all that Pixie Kirsty has available in the Shop... her kits are amazing.
Now I'm off to the church to decorate for my son's wedding.
Have a Happy Day!

My Butterfly Garden & City Crafter Challenge #57

I said it before and I'm saying it again...
I [heart] Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden collection. These papers are the softest, most feminine colors I have seen.

The stripes are delicate... just barely there.

This ruffled pink dotted trim came from Frog Feathers.
The roses were liberally sprayed with Glimmer Mist. I'm lovin' this stuff!

Prima bling with roses... ahhhh!
I'm entering this card in the CCC #57 which is coming from Linda this week. It's all about Stripes and Polka Dots

The Guest Designer is Viola Mahr. Ladies,
you have to see her work... it is so amazing and she is only nineteen!

Please join us this week! The Design Team has
given us plenty of inspiration, so nothing should hold you back!

Sooo Happy

The sky is gray, it's raining again, but
the Lord sure is good! I've been working on my son and future daughter-in-law's program for the wedding on Saturday. What a blessing! I made this happy card because that's the way I feel.

for this card. A pre-made white 5 x 7 card from Darice is the base. From the kit I took My Minds Eye papers... Perfect Damask and Beautiful Day. Cut the two rectangles and then a MS punched border, butterflies with a Die-namics from MFT Stamps and a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Oval. What great paper!

The scalloped oval was the perfect size for this BoBunny Gabrielle
Trinket. I punched some MS Oak Leaf pieces with AC cardstock in Pine from Springtime Pixie and distressed the edges with Antique Linen ink. The variety of roses I sprayed with Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist from the TST11 Kit and Ranger's Perfect Pearls Mist Heirloom Gold.

This flower is trim from Frog Feathers, Recollections
leaves, a MME brad and black seam binding ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique.

More of my bargain lace trim from Surplus City and lots of
Prima bling. I am just loving bling right now... the more, the better!
Have a Happy Day!

Spotlight Artist at CCCB

Wow... have been so busy that I hadn't
realized I was chosen as one of the Spotlight Artists at CCCB for my Challenge #55 card.
Thank you so very much, ladies!

I actually had changed this card into one for my
Mom that I gave her on Mother's Day. This was the result...

Have a Happy Day!

Happy Birthday Dear Sarah

I'm sorry I haven't been around much.
We finished up our garage sale and then gave a surprise birthday party for our future daughter-in-law.

She is totally into sharks, so I made her card from this
amazing Best Creation paper from their Summer Time collection using both sides. Made the scalloped border from Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby and an MFT die, and the other with a scrap of unknown origin and a MS Scallop Dot punch.

My sentiment is inked onto another snippet of the Best Creation
paper cut with a Spellbinders Labels Seventeen. I added Ranger's Antique Linen Distress Ink to the edges. Put on some bling and a Recollections Rose.

The shark and shells are from the Reminisce Under The
Sea Dimensional Sticker Set. The bow is ribbon from Michaels.
Happy Birthday Dear Sarah!

More Happy Mail

Thank the Lord for the dear friends I
have met on this blogging journey. This week I have been showered with happy mail (thanks, Ros, I didn't know that's what it was called). I just have to show you what Kirsty sent me...

I had purchased all her Pixie kits except for the October Fall In Love,
her debut kit. She told me she wanted me to have a complete set and this was her final kit... they are now sold out. What an honor! I am so thrilled to have had her send me this... but she didn't stop there, for a noticed a lot of other goodies she slipped in along side. What a generous and kind friend! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Miss Kirsty.
