My Heart & Kisses Card

We're all snuggled at home today after the activity and excitement of yesterday. The Penmaker is working on some special order pen projects and I'm creating Valentine cards. I really feel like I need to run around the block a few times, but nevertheless, I'll just have to get my exercise standing at my window desk. Of course I can stop every now and then and chase my granddaughter, Adelaide. She received a lightsaber for Christmas, and for a two year old, is fairly good at moving that thing around.

As you can see, she's serious about it.

My first Valentine is a combination of Graphic 45 papers, bought in Tennessee at my favorite scrapbook store. I started with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" ivory cardstock base, then layers of the G 45. The lace is from Hobby Lobby and the other embellishments are mostly from my Prima Christmas Special Delivery kit.

The small ivory rose and leaves are from I Am Roses. The ivory medallion (cut in pieces) is Prima trim.

The sentiment stickers are Idea-ology Seasonal Chit Chat inked with Walnut Stain Distress.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. Relax and enjoy it with your loved ones, if you can.

Merry & Bright Christmas Pocket Card

My last Christmas card of the season is made with Graphic 45 and Authentique papers. I bought the 3-D oval sticker at Hobby Lobby. The flower, velvet holly leaves and red glitter stars are by Petaloo, and the pine was cut with Alterations Thinlits Holiday Greens.
Have a Wonderful and Blessed Christmas, my friends!

Yuletide Greetings Pocket Card

My cutie snowman sticker, teal cotton trim and papers are all from my now,  much depleted stash of Pixie Dust kit leftovers.  I used Alterations dies to cut the tiny tag and the doily... Spellbinders for the ovals. The pine was cut with Holiday Greens Alterations Thinlits. Petaloo made the flower, snowflakes and teal berries. My wrinkled seam binding ribbon is from Prairie Bird Boutique on Etsy.
Are you counting down the days?

Recycled Christmas Pocket Card

This pocket card is made almost the same as yesterdays in that the papers are from what's left of my old Pixie Dust kits and the image and circle frame are cut from a card we received last year. The flowers, holly and gold crystals are all by Prima and came in the Special Delivery Christmas kit. My ribbon is one by May Arts.
Have a fun day today as you make your final preparations for Friday!

Joy Christmas Pocket Card

I know you're as busy as I am, so the rest of the week I'm keeping my descriptions as short as possible.
My Joy pocket card was made with older papers and stickers from what's left of my Pixie Dust kits. I cut the image from a card we received last year and teamed all this with a  Petaloo Sugared Botanica, red berries, and pine cut with Alterations Holiday Greens Thinlits.
Have a great day!

Love & Joy Christmas Pocket Card

My nephew and his sweet wife live beside a lake, and every time we pass thru that area on our way to our daughter's, there are deer along the road. When I saw this Bo Bunny Christmas Collage Reindeer paper I thought it would make the perfect Christmas card for them.

There's a bit of Teresa Collins and some other BB patterns as well in the mix. The frame is the negative from a Spellbinders Labels Seventeen cut. I always try to cut a die from a larger piece of paper so I can use the negative... getting all the use of the paper in that way. I hate throwing supplies in the waste can.
The tag is decorated with a wide silver eyelet, beautiful dark red wrinkled seam binding ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique, and a silver reindeer charm from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

The red jeweled flowers are Petaloo's Textured Elements used along with their velvet holly leaves and pine cones.

My double cut deer was made with Alterations Mini Reindeer & 25 set.

Love and joy are from Idea-ology Chit Chat Seasonal Stickers and were sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, as well as the entire card and tag.

Have a wonderful, relaxing Sunday, friends. I'm laid up with some kind of flu-like bug, so that means quality HGTV time. Got to keep my mind off of all the work I need to get done this week. LOL!

Merry Christmas Pocket Card

Did you ever wonder why I make so many pocket cards? Well, there are several reasons. (1) It's easy to tuck a little something extra in the pocket (like a Starbucks gift card) without it falling out when it's opened, (2) there's a nice big work surface for flowers and foliage or if it's a masculine card, there's space for extra die-cuts, metals pieces, etc., (3) it's easy to cut and score, glue it up and it's ready to embellish, (4) it showcases the base paper on the back as well as the front, (5) there's a good amount of room on the tag to write a nice long message if you're inclined to do so, (6) and I love the overall look of the tag blending in with what I've created on the card front. A pocket card is my favorite substrate.

My Merry pocket card is a combo of Bo Bunny Double Dot Vintage in Wild Berry and Teresa Collins Santa's List.

I have some four inch white cotton doilies in my stash, and cut one in half and added it as a third layer. It worked the same as 3-D foam since it was so thick. The florals are Petaloo (of course). I love those pine and berry bead sprays they came out with for Christmas. The silver metallic cord is by Darice.

The silver snowflake charms came from The Funkie Junkie Boutique. The teeny tiny rhinestone is from TPC Studio.

The Wild Berry die-cut was made with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares.

My Merry tag was cut with Alterations Tiny Tabs & Tags. The tag has a wide silver eyelet from We R Memory Keepers, white seam binding ribbon bought from Prairie Bird Boutique, tiny red jingle bell by Darice, and a Funkie Junkie silver snowflake charm.

I hope you're all enjoying the season... decorating your home, shopping, gift wrapping, parties, etc. I love Christmas time, and I especially love buying gifts for our grandchildren. I can't wait to see them open their packages... what fun!
Have a wonderful day, my friends!

Let's Celebrate Christmas Pocket Card

Today I have a pocket card with Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage, green shades of cardstock, and a digi image. Teresa's papers are a great quality... nice and thick, and perfect for pocket cards.

Petaloo Sugared Botanica bloom and leaves, velvet holly leaves, red berries and natural burlap string bow.

Alterations Mini Pine Tree die doubled and wrapped with natural burlap string. The double green borders are negatives of Alterations Postage Stamp Frame that I cut into straight pieces.

I tucked in a few sprigs of pine cut with Alterations Thinlits Holiday Greens.

We just returned from a quick trip to Tennessee for some Christmas shopping at the outlets and scrapbook shopping at Your Scrapbook Superstore in Pigeon Forge. I spent a couple hours going over the whole store on my first visit, then went back two more times to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I literally bought a ton of new papers. Can't wait to get started creating with them.

Thanks for stopping by... I really appreciate it!

Christmas Cheer Antique Mitten Pocket Card

This pretty little beaded mitten ornament is an antique that I've been holding on to for several years. (Hummm... hoarder traits showing up again.) I finally decided to let go and make something unique with it. What better way than to put it on a Christmas card.

My papers are different Christmas collections from Kaisercraft.

Sugared Petaloo Botanica and Holly Berry Sprays.

Velvet holly leaves from Petaloo.

Half pearls from Queen & Co along with Spellbinder's Labels Seventeen die cuts and Oval Floral frame made from Tim Holtz  gold Deco Sheets.

Have a wonderful weekend, friends. The Penmaker and I are heading off to Oglebay along with our boys and their families for our annual viewing of their Winter Festival of Lights.

Thanks for stopping by... I so appreciate it!

Birthday Wishes Masculine Pocket Card & New Pens

I made this masculine birthday card a couple of weeks ago. The base and mats are from 7 Dots Studio Nature Walk collection.

All the other bits and bobs are Tim Holtz Idea-ology ephemera and industrial stickers. The die I used for the piece at the top is Alterations Torn Notebook. The clip is also from Idea-ology.

I always have to stick a flower in somewhere, even on a "man card". This is one of Petaloo's teastained blue dahlias. I took off the stamens and added a Prima screw head for the center. I cut the tag with Alterations Tiny Tabs & Tags and tied on a natural burlap string bow.

The Penmaker is keeping that lathe of his smoking'. Here are a couple of new writing instruments he's made lately.
