With a Grateful Heart Pocket Card

Hello and a Happy Monday to you!
For this fine morning I have a "thank you" card in a color I don't create with too often. For the papers, I used the Nature Garden by Prima since they were still on my desk from the last card.

I love this combination... love these gray tones with the blue and especially the greens! I pulled out my vintage Prima Doily die because it's just been sitting on my cart for decades and screaming for me to pick it up (gross exaggeration here)... but it has been awhile. I also scattered around some more of the Pretty Pink Posh Clear Confetti.

For florals I went with several varieties of blooms from I Am Roses in green shades plus Prima leaves and green Spanish moss.

For base mats, I used my much loved Hobby Lobby glitter paper. This one is in silver. A lovely green wrinkled seam binding bow tops it all off.
Have a wonderful day and week, my friends!

Nature Garden Thank You Pocket Card

Hello dear friends and welcome!
While going through my stash of Prima the other day, I found several sheets from the Nature Garden collection I didn't know I had. LOVE this collection!!! Together with some of the Prima flowers and leaves I created this Thank You card.

These papers are gorgeous and you really don't need a lot of extras to make a nice card with them. I added a few Simon Says Stamp Gelato Confetti in blue and that's it! Other than the gold glitter paper I used for mats and gold corner pieces, I saw no need for anything else.

Hope you're having a wonderful week. Please drop in again soon!

Happy Anniversary Pocket Card

Hello and welcome!
The Penmaker and I, with much help from our SIL and his family are cutting down dead trees on our property, along with some overgrown ones that are too close to the house. It's always good to get some much needed work done outside early in the season.

Creating-wise... I got absolutely nothing done over the weekend, but did finish up one card yesterday which I love. This is one I made last week using Prima's Love Story. I just adore this carriage that was in the ephemera pack.

The flowers are some I had gotten on clearance a long while back at Michaels by Recollections. The rosebuds are from I Am Roses. I cut the frame from gold glittered corrugate with Alterations Frame 2 die. For the sentiment, I used a clear stamp from my MSE Anniversary Innies & Outies set.

Have a great day creating!

Très Chic Thank You Pocket Card

Hi friends and Happy Monday!
I have a very feminine thank you card today made with Prima's Love Story collection and Authentique's Dame 6x6 paper pad. Really an odd pattern mix, but I thought they complemented each other quite well.

I used one of the acetate pieces from the LS ephemera pack and stamped my sentiment on one of the cardstocks. The flowers are all from Prima. I have a large storage box of their flowers and since they seldom print the collection names on them, I usually don't know which they are. They all seem to match well, though, no mater which collection I choose. I added an ivory burlap string bow to the arrangement. It's all sitting on a nest of green Spanish moss.

The tres chic image is from the Authentique paper pad as is the plaid paper. I cut the frame using Spellbinder's Oval Floral die set. The gorgeous gems are the Studio Katia Cupid's Kiss crystals.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Holland Bulbs Pocket Card

Hi! I hope you're having a fantastic Saturday!
My card today looks like a Saturday kind-of-card, doesn't it? Green, and gardening, and thinking of you!
It's created with some Graphic 45 papers as the base, mats, and tag along with Carta Bella Spring Market... both 12x12 and 6x6 papers plus stickers from the collection.

The frame was made using to layers cut with Alterations Thinlits Stitched Circles. The lovely flowers are by Prima from their Amelia Rose collection. I tucked in a few I Am Roses tiny leaves here and there to fill in the empty space. They are laying on a bed of green Spanish moss.

These two mats were cut with MFT's Die-namics Stitched Rectangles set. I scattered some Pretty Pink Posh clear confetti around for sparkle and added one of my Tennessee laser-cut wood hummingbirds.

Love the fresh, Spring feel of this card.

Prima Love Story Sympathy Pocket Card

Hi and welcome!
For today's card I pulled out more of the Prima Love Story collection... the 6x6 paper pad, some of the 12x12, and the ephemera pack. It's all teamed with Echo Park's 6x6 Dots & Stripes Valentines light pink paper and some light pink cardstock.

The flowers and leaf are from Prima as well.

I used Spellbinder's Oval Floral and classic Circles die sets. The sentiment is from the Altenew Heartfelt Sentiments set.
The weekend's coming up fast... have a great one!

Wishing You a Fast Recovery Pocket Card

Hello there!
I want to share a get well card I created awhile ago with some Bo Bunny papers and Tim Holtz ephemera and mini gears. I cut a couple of the layers with my MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle dies. The larger gear at the bottom right is from Hobby Lobby. It's topped with a TH Hex Fastener. The boy is one of the TH Paper Dolls popped up with foam adhesive. The 78 in the right top corner is a TH Remnant Rub Gilded Accent. The sentiment was stamped with Altenew's Heartfelt Sentiments and Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink. I used Metallic Kraft paper for mats. The tag is tied with hand-dyed wool.

Wishing you a great day
and thanks for stopping by!

La Nouvelle Mode Pocket Card

Hello friends!
It's snowing like crazy here. Who can figure out this weather! Is this a faux Spring? I wonder.
To brighten things up I have a pretty pink Thinking of You card created from (again) Prima collections. I have lots of Prima papers and mixing the collections is a breeze.

The base mat on this card is from an oldie call Reflections. I can't even remember the whole of it, but I have several sheets of this text and dotted paper which I love. So I apparently stocked up on this. Patting myself on the back for that wise forethought. LOL!!!

I sprinkled Simon Says Stamp Gelato Confetti Sequins here and there using only the clear and pink from the gorgeous mix of pastel colors. I glued those down with Tim Holtz Multi Matte Medium. I buy the small squeeze bottle for this. If I put too much down, it dries clear with no gloss so you can't tell I messed up on it.

The flowers are by Prima. The stamp set I used for the sentiment is Altenew's Thinking of You.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Spring Market Birthday Pocket Card

Hello and welcome!
I have a birthday pocket card to show today made from the wonderful Carta Bella Spring Market collection. I originally got these papers in the March 2018 Choose Joy Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. I loved them so much I then bought the some of the 12x12 sheets and the 6x6 paper pad.

For embellishments, I used flowers from Prima and I Am Roses plus clear confetti by Pretty Pink Posh.

I added a row of narrow white cotton trim and a little gold glitter paper.
This is such a cheery paper collection... great for birthday, thank you or get well cards. You'll probably be seeing a lot more of it on my blog in the feature.

Hello there and thanks for stopping by!
We've lovely weather here so maybe you are having the same. I've been making lots of birthday cards lately. Here's one made with a mix of Prima papers and flowers, and featuring Lavender, my absolute favorite collection right now.

I added two of my precious Tennessee wood butterflies and some champaign half pearls.

I used Alterations Thinlits Stitched Circles to make the frame and MFT's Die-namics Stitched Rectangles for the mat.

The flowers are from two different Prima collections.

Hope you have an amazing weekend!

Special Moments Birthday Pocket Card

Hello and welcome! I hope you're having a good day!
My card for today is a birthday pocket card featuring the Prima Lavender collection. The base is from the 7 Dots Studio Nature Walk collection which is one of my favorites from a few years back. Because of the gray boards, it went perfectly with the gray tones of the Lavender papers. My bird was stamped and die-cut using Hero Arts Spoken Bird sets from their My Monthly Hero February 2018 Kit. I used Ranger's Archival Shadow Gray ink and my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform which made it possible for me to get the deeper color on the bird.

I used some tulle and pearl trim from my stash along with Prima and I Am Roses flowers and leaves. A Sizzix tiny tag die-cut stamped with Happy Birthday and tied with ivory burlap string is tucked into the arrangement.

For a little shine, I added a mat of purple glittered corrugate to the Special Moments image.

I'm so glad you stopped by!

U.S. Army Air Forces Birthday Pocket Card

Hello and Happy Monday!
This U.S. Army Air Forces pocket card is a combination of an Authentique retro image along with several Bo Bunny papers. I love shifting through all my paper collections looking for what will go with what... and these worked just fine together.

For florals I combined I Am Roses leaves and tiny rosebuds in white and red with teastained Petaloo daliahs in navy and white. I created a tiny tag using a Sizzix die and a Scrappy Cats Birthday clear stamp with Archival Jet Black ink. I tied it with ivory burlap string.

I added a couple of filigree corner pieces...

and Tim Holtz metallic rub-on stars. I've been using a lot of his rub-ons lately... they're great for filling in dead space. For my sentiment tag, I found some blue wrinkled seam binding that matched my mat to a T. Happy dance!!!

Shine Brightly Decor Piece

Hello and welcome!
Today I have a remake... from card to decor piece. I had originally created this as a card, but I was never quite satisfied with the results. I think it was the size. It was just too big for a card, so I decided to make it into something for around the house.

I grabbed some fabric from my boxes of fat quarters. I found one that was a perfect match for these papers. I covered a piece of corrugate with the fabric, added a mat of some other similar paper, then added my disassembled card.

I glued on a white button to the heart...

and one to the waist of the dress.
I picked out a "Shine Brightly" title from my Tim Holtz pack of Quote Chips and inked the edges with Distress Vintage Photo. I added that to the dress form.

I put on some Prima Say It In Crystals in a rosy red color... so pretty!
Sometimes you just need to overhaul a project if it's not working for you. I'm lovin' this now!

Change Your Outfit Change Your Life Card & A Thank You

Hi friends!
I have two A2 size cards today. The first is made with an Authentique retro image combined with several different scraps of Bo Bunny paper. My card base is Cotton Candy 100 lb cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. The white mat is Recollections cardstock, and the pretty floral patterned paper is from Echo Park's 6x6 I'd Rather Be Crafting paper pad.

My Scrappy Cats Birthday Wishes sentiment was stamped on a die-cut using Spellbinder's Circle dies and is backed with one from their Scalloped Circle die set. I added a few jewels from Studio Katia Cupid's Kiss here and there.

My other card is a thank you I created for some friends. The base is Neenah Desert Storm 100 lb. The patterned papers are some scraps of Bo Bunny that were just big enough to cut panels from. I die cut them with my new MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangles die set.

I heat embossed my sentiment with Ranger Super Fine Gold embossing powder. It's from the Altenew Heartfelt Sentiments set. I added some clear sequins for a bit of sparkle.
And that's it. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
