I Adore You

And I adore these
My Mind's Eye papers... from the Lost & Found 6x6 Madison Avenue and Lost & Found Two 6x6 Blush Designer Paper Pads.

The cardstocks are White
and Frosted Pink from Bazzill. Everything else came from my stash... all bits I've had for some time except for the red glittered heart. I opened the package while I was purging my craft room the other week and threw it away. I think I bought them at Archiver's.

The sheer rose trim I
got from a Pat Catan's store awhile back and the pink picot ribbon is a spool I've had for at least fifteen years... I kid you not!!! It may be older!

I made the dove using
Sizzix Bird #5 die and a scrap of Core'dinations White Canvas Texture cardstock. The die is a Sizzlits, and when I ran it through the Cuttlebug I forgot to use the second B plate in place of the C. That puppy snapped right down the middle with a terrific crack. Doggone it! Something else to buy!!! I'd rather spend money on paper or Glimmer Mist or something else fun... not a C plate! Guess that's what I get for not paying attention to what I'm doing.

Thanks for stopping by today!

To My Valentine

Valentine cards must be
my very favorite cards to make as I seem to have so many papers and embellishments that are suited for this special day. Lacy paper hearts and doilies, romantic images, glitters and lovely designer papers adorn my craft room. Not to mention ribbons and tulles in reds, pinks and white. Flowers... roses of all sizes and styles, bottles of glimmerizing mists, spools of pearl trims, and packages of jewels. I have it all! Now why didn't I buy the right shades of pink cardstock? Is anyone else faced with this problem?
Here is a card I made on Saturday...

The cardstock is Bazzill's Diamond
and Frosted Pink teamed with My Mind's Eye Blush "Sweet" DP.

The image is another from
the Etsy downloads I purchased last week. Everything else was from my stash.

I sponged some Spun Sugar
Distress Ink onto the papers edges and cut the borders with Martha Stewart's Doily Lace punch.

Love Me

The Penmaker and I have
spent most of the day waiting for the Ikea delivery truck to come with our new sofa and sofa table. I finished up a design team project and then made this Valentine card.

It's raining and my photos
seem a bit murky, sorry! I used the My Mind's Eye Love Me Collection along with white and sea foam Core'dinations Canvas Texture cardstock.

Spellbinder's Classic Hearts
dies, Iced Spruce and Spun Sugar Distress Inks, pink Baker's twine, My Funny Valentine TPC Studio jewels, white and pink Making Memories Metal Flowers, lace from my stash.

This sweet Valentine image
is from  iralamija shop on Etsy.

City Crafter Challenge #93

Our hostess... Linda... at
City Crafter Challenge Blog has a fun sketch for us to try this week...

When I saw this, my thoughts
immediately went to the beautiful papers that came out last year by Graphic 45 called Once Upon a Springtime... and I had a full 8x8 paper pad I hadn't even broken into yet. I had also just purchased lots of new colors of cardstock at a HUGE discount from Joann's. Lei Flower and Peach Core'dinations Canvas Texture matched the peachy patterns of OUAS perfectly.

Antique Linen Distress Ink
was sponged on the paper edges, and I cut a Spellbinder's Floral Doily Motifs die for under my last piece of Ivory Shabby Chic Rose Trim from Frog Feathers.

 The pearls are from Queen
& Co and the Heart Trinket Pin is from Maya Road.

The ribbon is from American
Crafts Love Collection and my bow is May Arts Natural Burlap String.

A Win And A Repurpose

Those  lovely girls at
Sugar Creek Hollow chose my toilet paper ATC last Sunday as the Card of the Week of the Save Some Trees challenge.

Now that the challenge is over,
I was thinking that I could use my ATC as an embellishment for a get well card. So here is what I did with it...

I used Ice Cream Core'dinations
cardstock for my base along with My Mind's Eye Kraft Funday "Front Page News".

Added some cotton
crocheted lace trim and Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.

I bought this "Joy for the
Journey" Verve stamp set a couple weeks ago, and am now a huge fan! Love the quality and appearance of these stamps. I used it here with Coffee Archival Ink from Ranger and it's stamped on cuts made with Die-namics Layered Labels Die Set from MFT. Some Queen & Co. pearls complete my makeover.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Pretty Inside And Out

is to make your card pretty on the Inside and Out with lovely Kirsty as Hostess.

Here is my take ...

I used both the October
Afternoon 5 & Dime 8x8 Paper Pad and the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Breeze 6x6 Paper Pad. The cardstocks are White and Seafoam Canvas Texture Core'dinations.

The jewels are from the
Reel Me In Collection by TPC Studio.

Distress Ink is Antique Linen.

I started to finish all the
insides of my cards several months ago after watching Arlene at Butterfly Kisses Designs. When I'm ready to send a card, I just write the note on white paper and glue it onto the DP... so easy that way!
I'm also entering my card
at Mojo Monday #224... here is this week's sketch...

Remodeling and Decluttering

This is just a quick post
to show you what I've been doing the last couple of days.
When my blogging friend, June
Houch at Simply Elegant Paper Crafts, came up with the idea to purge her craft room in October of last year, I though that I needed to follow her example and join her in doing my room. Well, she completed her task... but I fell by the wayside. Until this week that is...

The Penmaker and I
had already moved out the secretary when I took these photos, but I think you can see how bad it was getting in here.

Too cluttered and not
nearly enough shelving.

Now my AFTER shots...

Neat, orderly and I can
actually find things. Now I'm planning on spending the rest of the day creating.
THANK YOU, June.
It's all because of you!!!

Thanks for the visit!

Printery Sympathy Card

Life is sometimes overwhelming...
but God is so good! Two of our dear friends went home to be with their Lord yesterday. Here is one of the sympathy cards I made to send...

I used the Prima Printery
Collection 8x8 Paper Stack, Bazzill's Fern cardstock and Iced Spruce Distress Ink.

Black Archival Ink from
Ranger and an old Sweet & Sassy stamp set.

I sprayed this scrap of
burlap with English Ivy Glimmer Mist and Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls Mist.

Now a couple more pages
from my Creative Jump Start Summit 2012 practice journal.

I haven't had a lot of time
to create cards for I've been doing some online classes. One that I started yesterday is offered by Blue Moon Scrapbooking called Rad Burlap. I'm really enjoying it and hope I can pick up some new tips and techniques. I've also been working on a project for Pixie Dust Paperie that I am SUPER EXCITED about... sure hope it turns out the way I want! Can't wait to show you!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

My Creative Jump Start Summit 2012 Journal Update

The Penmaker and I are
snowed in... well actually we could get out if we wanted to, but who wants to drive in snow if you don't have to. So I'm working on my journal. I've tried to do a page everyday, but today I did a little extra...

Day #6 really didn't have
any techniques or tips so I had left a blank page to go back to and fill in with a project. This was the perfect time to do that. I started with a piece of white cardstock... added gesso and laid down a piece of jute as a type of flourish. Glued some bits of music sheet patterned paper down and painted over all with white acrylic... dabbing a little off of the music paper. I applied a thick coat of Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint and when it was dry, sponged on Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I then sprayed it with Tattered Leather, Patina, and English Ivy Glimmer Mist. Gave it a shot with my heat tool, then stamped on the Tim Holtz butterflies and verse with Coffee Archival Ink. Lots of fun!

This is what I've done
with some of my other pages... here was the beginning.

I'm using scraps and gluing
them down in color themes... not really trying to make something great... just exercising...

adding my notes from each session...

trying to take in what
the Jump Starters have to offer to help me to be more creative...

and loving every minute!

Our Head Jump Starter...
organizer... our leader... Nathalie Kalbach.

Since I'm such a fan of
Emeline Seet, I jumped ahead to show you her page... love this girl's work!!!
