I made this card for my future daughter-in-law's shower. Used the cardstock and lacy die-cut 

that came in my January Pixie Dust Paperie Kit... My Funky Valentine.

I embossed the dark pink cardstock in my Cuttlebug with the Textile Texture Embossing 

Folder from Provo Craft. Cut the heart patterned vellum paper with a Nestablities Labels One die. 

The dress is a  Jolee's Boutique dimensional sticker and roses are from Prima.

The bow is white seam binding ribbon.

I cut apart the shower invitation into border strips and scalloped them with Darice scissors.

Also cut the cake from the invitation.

Added clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the die-cut for some shimmer.

And "Here Comes the Bride"!

Pixie Dust Paperie Challenge

Kirsty at Pixie Dust Paperie has come up with this great sketch for the February Challenge. 

The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to The Pixie Shop. Now I don't know about you, but I would love to have that prize!!!! Have you seen the gorgeous kits they have? ... all coordinated to make fabulous cards and layouts, chosen by those lovely Pixies. 

I wanted a picture of my dear Hubby in his penmakers attire to hang above my desk, 

so this was a great way to do a layout for the challenge and fulfill my wish at the same time.

This will be placed in a 12" x 12" frame as soon as I can find one at a bargain price.

I chose the music DP because my Penmaker is also a collector of hymn books and 

biographies of hymn writers.

Get Well Cards

Just a quick post today. After a few days of warm weather that melted all the snow, we are 

having a mini blizzard. Can't believe how hard and fast it's coming down. Ahhh well... so much for spring coming early. It's back to making cards and pens for us retired folk.

Used red cardstock with American Crafts Refined Percy and Golden Gleam DP.

Have two DP borders here with lace, Maya Road blossom trim, a row of transparent coral strung beads and a smattering of rhinestones.

A bow of Spring Leaf Pixie Dust Signature seam binding ribbon, a glittered rose and computer generated sentiment finish this off.

The snowflake and Joy letters are covered in Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles, but the photo didn't pick up the shimmer like I wanted.

Thank You Card

Created this thank you card for my future daughter-in-law. She gave my hubby and me an amazing bouquet of red flowers for Valentines Day. I used brown cardstock, Fancy Pants Dilly Dally DP, My Minds Eye Lost & Found Party DP and cut apart American Crafts Delightful Robin Lace Paper. Added a Maya Road Velvet Pleats Trinket Blossom.

I've made so many projects with my Springtime Pixie Kit from Pixie Dust Paperie, that I jumped at the chance to get the January kit at half price when it was announced at 50% for Valentines Day only.

Now I ask you... who could pass up this sheet music and die-cuts... crepe paper, Pixie Signature seam binding ribbon and vintage white buttons?

Shopping Pleasure

"It's a beautiful day... the sun is shinning... why not take the hour and fifty minute drive to Pittsburgh and shop at Ikea?" said she.

"After all there are always sales going on there" she added.

"If we can go to this woodworking store afterward I've been wanting to see" he replied.

"We need new cushions... a couple lamps... a vase or two... some more candles... and you said we could get that white chair for the family room the next time we came... right?" she eagerly told him.

"Yes dear... as long as I can go to the woodwork store" he consented.

"Let's pay for this and get it in the car... you measured it right, didn't you?" he asked.

Well... I needed one more picture here, but was so busy trying to get the dog-gone chair into the car I didn't have time. Guess I didn't measure right... thank the Lord for bungee cords. Had to ride back at a much slower pace with the trunk open. And my darling hubby wouldn't take the extra time to find the woodworking store and never said a word of complaint. He is such a gem, ladies. I hope you are all as blessed as I am. I really owe him.
