Tomorrow I will have
completed two weeks of life with shingles covering the right side of my face. Will this ever end? I can't remember ever having spent so much time curled up on my rocker with a hot drink watching old movies and HGTV. Last night I stumbled across The Pioneer Woman and spent several hours watching her cook her way through birthday parties, sleep overs and camp outs. Oh man... I loved watching that girl create in the kitchen!
Today, I just had to
make another visit to her blog to read recipes, and the first to pop up was this one for Corn Dog Muffins...
Don't these look fabulous?
Now if you follow my
blog you are probably wondering why all the talk about food. The truth is... I'm starving! Not really... but with these blisters in my mouth and pain in my teeth I can't eat anything cold or of substance... only foods similar to what babies eat... ugh!!! Thus my fixation on food!
I'll be happy when I
can pull out some paper, a rubber stamp and Distress Ink again... but in the mean time... Food Network, here I come!
Thanks for the visit!
Hugs!
Linda

Linda, what a terrible ordeal that must be. I can see why you would be fixated with food. My Mom had them on her back and the pain was so severe.
I'm sure hoping you recover from this very soon.
Oh, Sweetie, the end is in sight...I know it seems like it will never end and you are looking forward to getting back to your usual self. My shingles were concentrated on my back, running along nerve paths. Those blisters are so painful; I can't imagine having them on my face!
Those corn muffins look divine! I think I gained 5 lbs just salivating over them :)
Oh you poor lady ... my thoughts are with you and I'm praying that you will soon be well ... hang on in there!
My heart goes out to you. That sounds like no fun at all. You will be in my thoughts and prayers my friend.
I have never seen pioneer woman. I am going to have to look her up.
Big hugs my friend.
I just told my guy I want to get the shot!!! I'm so afraid I'll get this...Steve's co-worker just got over it and he was a mess! Praying for you sweet friend. Be better soon!
PW is from OKLAHOMA! We rock (and cook) GREAT here!
Love to you~Rebecca
That looks yummy!
I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time with the Shingles. Several people in my family have suffered through them. They're definitely not fun. Ree Drummond is one of my daughters favorite "cooks to watch" LOL. She really has some great recipes. I've been thinking about you a lot lately. We're about to make another trek to TN for Thanksgiving and I missed out on going to that super duper scrapbook store. I was really jealous of your haul. LOL Won't miss it this time. :-) Take care of yourself. Hugs!
