Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #62

for week #62 is a project with a non-stamped sentiment, such as handwritten, die cut words, etc. For my third week as Guest Designer I've created...

a card using a digital stamp of this
beautiful crane from McMahon Five Designs.com. Prior to this month I had not done any coloring on any type of stamping, and I must say I now am hooked.

I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks...
Black Soot (very watered down), Peeled Paint, Antique Linen, Wild Honey and Tumbled Glass. The papers are Ivory and Medium Gray cardstock with Creative Imagination "Provencial Fleur" and Webster's Pages "Waiting for Santa" (who says you can't use it year round) DP. My "Thank You" sentiment is a metallic sticker.

I made the pins using beads from
my stash. I Am Roses flowers and skeleton leaves, Recollections mini roses, punched oak leaves and feather tips.
Wishing you a pleasant Tuesday!

The Birthday Boy

Just a quick post to show you my
Grandson before and after he opened his birthday gift from the Penmaker and me. Now you see what went with the Civil War card I made for him.

Have a wonderful evening!

Tramp, Tramp, Tramp... The Boys Are Marching

There's an old song that was
sung during our American Civil War called Tramp, Tramp, Tramp... The Boys Are Marching. It came to my mind this morning when I took a look at my Grandson's birthday card I had made for him last night. Today's the "Big Party".

He is still really excited about
all things CW, so I did this card from those great papers I bought at Forevermore Scrapbooks in Gettysburg, PA.

I used my Crop-A-Dile to fasten
these large brown eyelets and threaded them with crinkled ivory seam binding that I distressed with Vintage Photo. Also inked all the paper edges. Added a Bo Bunny Timepiece Metal Trinket and a Tim Holtz Clear Charm Fragment I made with a paper scrap and Glossy Accents.

I put a T H Memo Pin holding
a stamped Happy Birthday to the inside. Hope the birthday boy likes it.
Have an enjoyable Saturday!

Feature Me Friday

Thank you to the kind folks
at The Kraft Journal for showcasing the card that I had entered in their "Walk in My Garden" Challenge last week. It's such an honor!
You'll want to check out their
fabulous shop, Kraft Outlet... especially the amazing Kraft Cardstock. I love the texture of these papers, and who doesn't love the look of a project made with Kraft paper.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #12

I'm entering a challenge at
Shopping Our Stash with this card...

This challenge blog is new to me,
but after reading about it at Lauren's, I decided to give it a try. This is not your run of the mill challenge... listen to this, "Dogs OR Didi Stamps OR Denim". What did I tell you... very interesting, aye!

I opted for dogs... and vintage, since I
have a ton of vintage scraps at the present I need to use up. These are mostly October Afternoon's 5 & Dime and Cosmo Cricket's Odds & Ends papers. Recollections and I Am Roses flowers, skeleton leaves and a Maya Road Leaf Trinket Pin. Found this old picture of one of my favorite books in my Images File... most appropriate, I think.

An old grunge heart covered with
DP, a Recollections rose, a teeny TPC Studio Reel Me In Jewel, a friendship sticker from Girls' Paperie Jubilee Sticker Market and a frame cut with Spellbinders Labels One.

My doggie is cut from OA's Root
Beer Barrels, backed with a Scalloped Circle die from Spellbinders and popped up with 3-D foam squares. I'm lovin' my four footed friend!
Have a fabulous Wednesday!
