City Crafter Challenge #55

The new challenge at CCCB is an
Initial Color Challenge with this beautiful color palette put together by Ros Crawford.

Don't you think that Ros has come up with a fabulous palette?
Now let's see what you can do with these colors. And while you're at CCCB, be sure to take a look at Guest Designer Davi Reid's beautiful card that she created... amazing!

Here is the card I made to enter. I had a rough time finding
what I needed and it took me most of the day to make. The Penmaker said it was because I bought so much on our trip, that it took time to go through it all and pick out what I wanted to use.

In the end, I used papers from my Pixie Kits, as well as
the Tim Holtz Baubles and Ornate Plate. The flourish also came from My Funky Valentine Kit, and on that I heat set Whispers Clear Glitter Embossing Powder. Antique Linen Distress Ink went on all the paper edges, followed by Tim's Paper Distresser.

Prima and Recollections flowers, Darice pearl sprays,
coral seam binding ribbon and ivory floral lace (note to follow) finish it off.
Note: The floral lace was another of those unbelievable bargains that I come across once in a great while... the Penmaker insisted we stop at a place called Surplus City, Inc in Lavale, MD. I purchased a bag full of goodies, but this particular lace was 20 yards for a dollar. You must stop there if you're in the area.
Have a Happy Day!

That is so pretty, so clever to put all the old and new things together, love how you used that ornate plate on the card, I have yet to try that, maybe I should.... Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow, what a beautiful card, Linda! I just adore all the little details you've added. The floral spray is just stunning, and I love the Tim Holtz metal, too. What an awesome score you got on that floral lace. Love your use of this color palette. And the penmaker is making me smile with his shopping comment. :)
