Prima Love Clippings Cards

Hello and welcome!
Lately I've been creating more A2 size cards instead of my usual pocket cards with tags. I just needed a bit of a change. Here are two I made last week with the fabulous Love Clippings by Prima. I love this collection. For these two cards I pulled out the 8x8 paper pad. For the bases, I used Neenah 100lb Desert Storm cardstock that I purchased from Simon Says Stamp. The base mat is a dark gray cardstock by Recollections that comes in one of their multi packs. The happy couple are from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper Dolls.

In making these A2 cards, I don't add my layers and layers of papers and flowers, but I try to still put in some die-cut, glitter papers and gems or pearls. To this second card I adhered on some Studio Katia Cupid's Kiss Crystals for a little sparkle. The trim is from the dollar store. The sentiments were stamped with Heartfelt Sentiments by Altenew. The top one was heat embossed with Wow Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter.
Please let me know what you think?

Sun Sand and Sea Birthday Pocket Card

Happy Monday Friends!
I'm back today with the wrap-up of my Valentine's Day cards and a birthday card with a sea theme.

My pocket card is a mix of my vintage Creative Imaginations papers and the beautiful St, Tropez collection by Prima. I added in gold Metallic Kraft paper by Tim Holtz and champaign glitter paper from Hobby Lobby. The lovely blue velvety flowers with the gold beaded centers are part of the Prima ST collection.

Now for the final five of my Valentines for 2018. These were created almost entirely with my Simon Says Stamp January Monthly Card Kit.

I hope this is a wonderful week for you!

A Birthday Card & Lots of Valentines

Hi there! I hope you're having a great weekend!
There are a bunch of cards here today to show you. Some more of my Valentine's Day cards, but first off, an A2 size, kraft based birthday card made with older papers from my stash in a variety of patterns. You might recognize the two top layers, which are Marion Smith designs. I put on one of the Tim Holtz Ornate Plates to house my sentiment, which was stamped using the vintage Scrappy Cats Birthday set. There are also some Prima Say It In Crystals and one of their timepieces. The flowers are by I Am Roses.
Now if you'd like to stick around, please feel free to check out the next five of the Valentines I created for my family using the Simon Says Stamp January Monthly Card Kit. As of right now, it's still available here, which is incredible, because all the other kits for this year have sold out.

I hope you saw some you liked!

It's Your Day Pocket Card & A Few Valentine's Day Cards

Hello friends!
I've a very lengthy post, photo-wise. I have a number of Valentine's Day cards I forgot to post, so I'll add those on to the end of these next few posts.
My card today was created with some old Creative Imaginations papers I've had in my stash for along time. They're beautiful and I thought now was the time to bust them out.

I get to the point that I realize I really need to use some of these older collections up, and move on to something else. Why is that such a hard thing?

Along with the CI papers, I mixed in a little gold glittered corrugate from Hobby Lobby and gold Metallic Kraft from Tim Holtz. The gems are by Prima, as well as the flowers.
Now for my Valentines...

These were made mostly with the contents of my Simon Says Stamp January Monthly Card Kit.
More to come!

The Sea Calls to Me Birthday Pocket Card

Hey, dear friends!
It's in the seventies here today, so I'm thinking summer and sea. Although I'd rather be in the mountains than the seaside, the warm weather is welcome for wherever I am.

I created this birthday pocket card with Prima's St. Tropez. I love the blue and green shades of this collection. It's one of their prettiest, in my estimation.
I cut the doilies with a Sizzix die and matted the papers with gold Metallic Kraft paper.

The flowers are from Prima as well... two different collections, but both with those gorgeous beaded centers.
Just a quick post... I've got to get outside for a bit of air and warmth.

Thinking of You During This Difficult Time

Hello dear friends! Thanks for stopping by!
It's a rainy, cold Monday here... perfect weather for crafting. So, I will!

I have a simple Thinking of You card today. This is the type that are so hard to create... for a friend who has lost a loved one.
I pulled out a Kaisercraft paper pad along with a sheet of Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb Solar White cardstock for my card base. I've been using this cardstock non-stop since I received my first sheet in a Simon Says Stamp monthly card kit. The weight is just perfect. Along with these papers, I added some Metallic Kraft and an ephemera butterfly by Tim Holtz. The stamping was done with Altenew's Thinking of You set. Very straight forward... no frills.
Now back to my craft room for some serious creating!

Have a great Monday!

French Country Get Well Soon Pocket Card

Hello friends! I hope you're having a great day!
I have a Get Well Soon card to show you created from Graphic 45's French County collection from a few years back. I still have lots of the papers even though I've made a ton of projects with them. I must have really loaded up on this one, which is funny because now I'm not sure it's my style at all. I'm not going to let this go to waste though, so you'll be seeing this collection pop up every now and then.

This Prima bloom with the gold beaded center matched very nicely. For the sentiment I used Altenew's Heartfelt Sentiments set with Darice navy Ink It Up! premium dye ink.

I used several of the collection tags and pockets, and tucked in an Alterations Thinlits doily, too.

I do like the chickens on these patterns, but I think my real draw originally to this collection was the blue.
That's it for now. Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy 14th Birthday Pocket Card

Hello there!
The Penmaker and I have another busy week going, so I will make this a very brief post... lots of photos with little talk.

This is the birthday card I created for our granddaughter Penny's 14th. I used my Valentine's Day supplies since it was all on my desk and these are her favorite colors. If you have any questions about the making, please ask.
Have a wonderful day!

Prayers & Hugs Pocket Card

Hi again! Hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday!
It's a great day to craft!

I created this card a couple of weeks back and am just getting to it to show you. It's one of those that are a combination of collections, mostly BoBunny, and some scraps and ephemera. I added a silver filigree to the corner... my last one... need to restock those.

This cute chipboard birdie is from Prima's Lyric collection from a few years back. That silver Metallic Kraft die-cut is a Cheery-Lynn Designs Border #15. The flowers are by Prima and the pretty pink half pearls came in my last Hero Arts Monthly Hero Kit.
Have a fantastic day, friends!

Two Thinking of You Pocket Cards

Hello again!
I'm back today with a pair of Thinking of You cards... one rather feminine and the other on the masculine side. This first card was created with the Prima's Stationer's Desk collection.

However, the imagine here is from a scrap piece I had in my stash for quite a long time, but fit in nicely, I thought. Again, there are a lot of layers, one being a die-cut I made with Alterations Stitched Circles. There is also some gold glittered corrugate from Hobby Lobby.

The flowers are by Prima, and the leaves were cut with Spellbinder's Foliage using that same gold glittered corrugate. The sentiment is from Altenew's Thinking of You stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

My next card is created with Stationer's Desk as well, but with an entirely different look. For some of the layers I used Spellbinder's Labels Seventeen and Classic Ovals, also Alterations Stitched Squares.

For the sentiment, I used that same Altenew set as on the previous card, only with VersaMark ink and heat embossing it with Ranger Super Fine Gold EP. I used a scrap of Gold Metallic Kraft and popped it up with foam adhesive. For embellishments, I added a white Prima Timepiece rubbed with some Coffee Archival ink and topped it with a smaller timepiece from Hobby Lobby.

I rounded the corners on my image with my 1/4" punch and added a Momenta metal flourish to the top and one of their metal corner pieces to the right corner. For my tag I tucked in one of the cut-aparts from the collection.
A very lengthy post. Thanks for sticking with me.

Thank you for stopping by!

Special Delivery Get Well Soon Pocket Card

Hello and Happy Friday!
This is a very quick post today in honor of the weekend.

This Get Well card was created entirely from Tim Holtz product, well almost. I wanted to keep this in my vintage-type style and Tim's stuff is just perfect for fulfilling my wishes. I went with his Dapper 12x12 Paper Stash, Metallic Kraft Paper Stash, Emporium and Expedition Ephemera Packs, and Alterations Bigz Postage Stamp Frame die. Non-Holtz items I used are the filigree antique bronze corner pieces, May Arts burlap string, wrinkled seam binding ribbon, and a wide metal eyelet. The Get Well Soon sentiment was heat embossed with Ranger's Gold Super Fine EP.
Have a great weekend!
