Thinking of You Pocket Card & Dixie

Hello dear friends, and happy Friday!
We took a short break last week, and drove to Tennessee along with most of the family. What a refreshing and happy time. There's nothing like a vacation with grandchildren. Goodness, what a blessing they are!

Now that we're back, we're in the midst of a huge pen order, with the Penmaker working non-stop. I can hear his lathe spinning away as I write. I've gotten a few cards made, but haven't had the time to post anything until this morning.

This "Thinking of You" card is one I made for our shop. It's a combination of Kaisercraft Provincial papers, a Prima printed chipboard piece, a Prima flower, and Alterations Thinlits die-cuts for the foliage. For texture I added in some white thread to rest the foliage on, and a row of white lace trim. On the tag, I tied some gorgeous mint green wrinkled seam binding into a double bow.

I cut a couple of the layers with Thinlits Stitched Circles and Stitched Squares. For a touch of bling, I added half pearls.

Last night we had a surprise birthday party for granddaughter Dixie with a few of her BFF's. Just a small affair. Again, there is nothing to compare to grandchildren.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Wall Hanging

Hello, dear Friends!
We're half-way through the week already. What an exciting one it's been for us. Yesterday we met our daughter-in-law at the hospital and I got to be with her when she found out her coming baby is a boy. This will be our eleventh grandchild and fifth boy... pretty well balanced, I think.

And speaking of grandkids, when our granddaughter, Dixie, saw the wool pumpkin project I was making, she asked if I would do a picture for her with a row of pumpkins. I was happy to oblige, and created this one for her.

It's on a base of cardboard. The papers are some from my stash... last years... and some stickers.

I popped things up for more dimension and edged it all with with orange cotton twill tape.

I love making projects for the grandkids... kind of hope they'll get the bug themselves.

Thanks for stopping by!

Home! Sweet Home! Christmas Card

The Penmaker and I
made a stop at Walmart yesterday, to pick up a little something for our granddaughter, Dixie who is celebrating her third birthday today. Afterward, we swung through Starbucks for their 2-5pm special. Are you aware of this...

We both went for the Carmel Burlee Latte. It was delicious! After, which being in a Christmas mood, I went home and made another card.

It's made with the
backsides of these two papers from My Mind's Eye All Is Bright collection...

 "Joy"

"Christmas Tag"

The base is Recollections
Kraft cardstock, which is extremely sturdy, and a dark red scrap from my leftovers for the mats. I applied a bit of Clear Rock Candy Stickles to the torn edge of the piece under the image, which, by the way, is from The Graphics Fairy.

My paper doily stash
has just been replenished. This beauty came from Etsy. The flowers and leaves on the right, are all I Am Roses, the tags are Idea-ology, and the 25 brad is from MME Kraft Funday pack (a surprise to me, also!). The metal corner piece is Momenta (I am soooo loving these things!).

This sticker is from the
MME All Is Bright 12x12 Chipboard Accessories. The red Ruffle Blossom is from Maya Road. All my lace and pearl trims are from my box of scraps... can't remember now where most of them have come from, but the piece across the bottom looks like it could be Prima or Webster's Pages.
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs!
Linda
