Went to Archivers yesterday and
bought the 8x8 Paper Pad of "5 & Dime" from October Afternoon. If you love nostalgia, this is for you.
I just had to break into this fabulous
paper pad this morning and make a card. My daughter Sarah has already claimed it for her birthday.
I used three of the patterns from the
pad plus two shades of ivory cardstock. I dabbed on both Vintage Photo and Antique Linen Distress Ink on the edges. The images are from my stash. The sentiment is from Studio G bought on clearance at Michaels.
The bouquet consists of the now famous
Deb Hickman Rose, an I Am Roses apple blossom, Recollections mini rose and Martha Stewart punched oak leaves.
I added a Recollections bauble,
bought on clearance, for a bit of pazazz... love these! (Should have bought all they had... make mental note for next time.) I fussy cut the housewife and put her on a background of two die cuts made from Spellbinders Blossom Nestabilities. Popped up the book image with foam squares for a 3-D effect. Ahhhh... a trip to the past!
Happy Saturday, friends!

I love this! See, I wouldn't have a clue as to what to do with that gorgeous paper; I would horde it and never use it. This is why I adore your work...you know EXACTLY how to create with these beautiful papers.
Linda this card reminds me of "The Ladies Home Journel" magazine so vintage so devine...love all your details.
