Engraver Birds

Hi friends!
The sun is shinning on Ohio, and I have a light and happy heart! Isn't it funny how sunlight can lift your soul. Since I have this springy feeling going on, I thought I' do something with birds...

I created my background
using some of my homemade patterned tissue, a layer of gesso then lots of Distress Inks (Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers and Evergreen Boughs). The alpha image is from Besottment by Paper Relics and the birds are from The Graphics Fairy. I tore the edges of both and sponged on Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The tape, flowers
and the alphas spelling out the word birds are all part of Prima's new Engraver collection. The feathers are from Hobby Lobby.

The game spinner
is by Idea-ology and the gems are Prima's Say It In Crystals.

This netting is plastic
and I believe it came in one of my old Pixie Dust Paperie kits. It's brushed with Black Soot Distress Ink and Tarnished Bronze Distress Stain. I applied Old Road Chalk Ink by Prima around the page.

I'm linking up at:

Now, I just may head over to Starbucks!

Thanks for stopping by!

What a great page! Love that background you made from handmade tissue and netting. That is so cool. Love the vintage images, too. You are rocking your art journal, my friend!
