A 50th Anniversary Pocket Card

Hi there! I hope you're having a great Saturday!
It's very cold here and we have snow moving in again sometime during the night. Ahhh, winter! Not my favorite season... but a wonderful time to craft!

This is a somewhat different card for me in that it's for a 50th anniversary... for retiring from a position after 50 years. What an amazing accomplishment.

I used some Prima papers and a couple others... Metallic Kraft, glitter corrugate, 7 Dots Studio. For dies I used the set that came with my Alterations Sidekick to cut the 50... Thinlits Stitched Circles, and Stitched Squares. The "Congratulations" stamp is from Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages. It's heat embossed with Ranger Super Fine Gold EP.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend  friends!

Wishes Anniversary Pocket Card

Hello dear friends.
It's another cool day in Ohio, but nevertheless beautiful and sunny. Our temps have barely reached the seventies for several days, and it's downright cold at night. That always happens when I decide to put the extra quilt away for summer.

In honor of the sunny skies, I'm showing a golden yellow pocket card today. This started out as an all occasion card. In the end, I added a gold glittered 50 to the chipboard frame, and we gave it to our friends who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. I didn't get a photo of that alteration, so please use your imagination as to the final look.

The papers and printed chipboard are from the Prima Time Traveler collection. The bird image was printed from my computer. The beautiful seafoam and yellow flowers are from I Am Roses.

The doily was cut with Alterations Thinlits Doily die.

The rhinestones are by TPC Studio, the vintage lace is from my stash, and the soft yellow organza ribbon is from Joann's. The tiny wood key came from my favorite wood shop down in Tennessee (where I'm longing to visit about now, but have to wait until fall).

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy 50th Pocket Card

Today I want to share another anniversary card that was part of a special order. The papers are from the Kaisercraft Provincial collection. I wasn't aware of this collection until shopping at Forevermore Scrapbooks on our last trip to Gettysburg, PA. They are simply beautiful... sketched florals and vintage postmark stamps with a classic French shabby chic feel featuring soft whites, muted blues and gorgeous elegant timepieces. I found them perfect for anniversary cards. Needless to say, I bought a few of each, but probably not enough which seems to be my norm.

I stamped the 50th on a cut Alterations Tiny Tabs & Tags and heat embossed with Ranger's gold super fine embossing powder. Happy was cut using Alterations Celebrate and gold paper from Hobby Lobby.

The flowers are Petaloo Botanica and Velvet Chantilly Hydrangeas. The lace is from my stash (possibly from Joanns) and the ivory burlap string is from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I either bought the mini hearts key from Funkie Junkie or it may have been a gift from there. Linda is so great to deal with... I love her shop!!!

The pretty 3-D sticker is by K & Company. It was on the envelope of the birthday card my sister gave me, and I just had to recycle. LOL!
Enjoy the day, friends!

A Lacy, Romantic 50th Anniversary Pocket Card Plus a Fabulous Abalone Pen

Here is another 50th anniversary card I created with, in my opinion, a very romanic look. I piled on lots of lacy elements, pearls, velvet, and a heart charm.

I made the frame with gold metallic paper from Hobby Lobby and my Spellbinders Oval Floral die. The anniversary sentiment was cut with Alterations Celebrate.

The flowers and leaves are Petaloo Botanica and Chantilly Velvet Hydrangeas.

The mini cameo is by The Girls Paperie from my stash of old Pixie Dust kits.

The Penmaker's masterpiece is the outcome of our trip to the Mid-Atlantic Pen Turner's Gathering in Richmond last weekend.

The blanks he used are of embedded abalone...

and the components are a transformable roller ball to fountain pen.

He sold it before I was able to get it listed in our shop. It's an amazing piece of work!

50th Anniversary Pocket Card & Some Vacation Memories

Hi friends! As promised, I'm back from our respite in the south. Thankfully, the Penturner's Gathering came when it did for we really needed some time away to recoup. We headed down to Virginia last week, then took in the Mid-Atlantic Penturner's Gathering on the weekend. This years was fantastic and The Penmaker and I even won some great door prizes. That alone was worth the trip. From there we went across North Carolina to Gatlinburg, TN. While we usually rent a cabin or condo, for something different (and due to the suddenness of the trip) we stayed at an inn we have enjoyed in the past (lots of good memories on this journey). I had a wonderful time at Your Scrapbook Superstore in Pigeon Forge and for a treat, we saw Captain America: Civil War in the new theatre (reclining seats).

Now back to business... a 50th anniversary card made with papers from the Kaisercraft Provincial collection.

I use a bunch of dies on this card... from Spellbinders - Classic Circles, Scalloped Circles,
Alterations - Mini Hearts, Vintage Market Alphabet,  Ornate Frame #2.
I bought the gold paper at Hobby Lobby and the small scalloped circle was cut from a gold metallic burlap tag my DIL gave me for Mother's Day.

The flowers and leaves are by Petaloo,

the lace trim came from Pat Catans,

and the gold metal butterfly is from Lindy's Stamp Gang.
