Our Two Birthday Girls

 Faith's

June and July are the birthday months of two of our granddaughters. Our daughter usually combines their parties into one since they are so close. This year the party was in June, which was closer to the date of little Faith's birthday. Thirteen year old (almost) Katie will be away at church camp on her actual date. These are the cards I created for them.

 Katie's

Katie's card is a re-make of one I created a while ago. I've always loved this card, and held onto for a number of years. I thought her thirteenth year was an appropriate time to pass it on to another. I did, however,  change the florals, adding more roses and rosebuds in her favorite color, along with some die cut, heat embossed, inked file folder leaves.

Family Pocket Card

Recently I created a card to go to a little girl who, along with her sister, had just been adopted. A truly special occasion for two special little girls.

The Penmaker and I made a quick trip out to Amish country for breakfast this morning... pancakes for me and fresh strawberries with whipped cream topping on a waffle for him. Needless to say, I now should go for a multi mile walk around the fort (Fort Laurens) instead of sitting here typing away at my computer.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Julie Nutting's Belle Vie

Being totally unaware of Julie Nutting's new Belle Vie collection for Photo Play Papers, I was over whelmed when I saw the pack in the Scrapbook Superstore a few weeks ago. This is completely girly with it's pinks, roses, Paris icons, and fashion. What more could a girl ask for?

I'll let my photos speak for me...

Have a wonderful weekend!

Soulmates Pocket Card & New Motorcycle Pens

Layers and love going on here with my "Soulmates" card featuring my go to Juliet collection by Bo Bunny. I may have to purchase more of this, as I'm using it up fast.

The chipboard piece is an old one from Prima, and is layered with one of their wood timepieces. The tiny plastic pearl heart came from The Funkie Junkie Boutique. The flowers are all from Petaloo and the leaves are by I Am Roses.

Today I have two new pens from The Penmaker with a motorcycle theme. One in black acrylic...

and the other of black and orange shades, also acrylic.

I'm not much of a motorcycle fan, but these are really cool. I love all the detail on them.

Fairy Dust Birthday Wishes Pocket Card

Don't you just love teal and purple as a combo?
I have two collections that are satisfying my urge to create with these fabulous colors... Kaisercraft's Fairy Dust and Bo Bunny's Enchanted Garden

For the doily, I pulled out one of Tim Holtz Alterations Thinlits doily dies.

The flowers are all from I Am Roses and the velvet leaves are Petaloo. They are combined with a mini twig heart by Darice.

The black metal Momenta bird is sitting on a fussy cut bird bath from the BB Enchanted Garden Moonlight sheet.

The black gems are Prima Say It In Crystals.

The frame was cut with one of my favorite new Thinlits dies... the Stitched Ovals.

Happy 50th Pocket Card

Today I want to share another anniversary card that was part of a special order. The papers are from the Kaisercraft Provincial collection. I wasn't aware of this collection until shopping at Forevermore Scrapbooks on our last trip to Gettysburg, PA. They are simply beautiful... sketched florals and vintage postmark stamps with a classic French shabby chic feel featuring soft whites, muted blues and gorgeous elegant timepieces. I found them perfect for anniversary cards. Needless to say, I bought a few of each, but probably not enough which seems to be my norm.

I stamped the 50th on a cut Alterations Tiny Tabs & Tags and heat embossed with Ranger's gold super fine embossing powder. Happy was cut using Alterations Celebrate and gold paper from Hobby Lobby.

The flowers are Petaloo Botanica and Velvet Chantilly Hydrangeas. The lace is from my stash (possibly from Joanns) and the ivory burlap string is from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I either bought the mini hearts key from Funkie Junkie or it may have been a gift from there. Linda is so great to deal with... I love her shop!!!

The pretty 3-D sticker is by K & Company. It was on the envelope of the birthday card my sister gave me, and I just had to recycle. LOL!
Enjoy the day, friends!
