Official Notice of Marriage

Hello and welcome!
I hope you are all doing well, and nearly ready for the Christmas holidays. I wish I could say I have some Christmas cards to share, but I haven't been able to create any this year and I completely forgot to photograph the tags I made. I had a ball making and using them... just totally I didn't think to get pictures.

I do however, have a wedding card to show you that I did for a friend of my daughter's who was married in the fall. Lovely and lacy, with a very vintage look with whites, ivorys, and creamy shades of old papers, laces and appliqués. I added touches of Vintage Photo Distress ink to simulate tea-staining.

For bling, a pearl and rhinestone setting to the tatted thread on the mini tag. The perfect bit of glamour.
Thanks dear friends for stopping by!

Wilderness Birthday

Hello friends and Happy November!
I wish I had a Fall card to share with you, but I just haven't created any this season. This one is probably as close as I have because of the fox and pine trees. It makes me think Fall even though it's not exactly!

These lovely outdoorsy papers are from the Mintay Wilderness collection by Karola Witczak. I just love her designs and this collection rates high on my list. I cut my A-2 base from tan textured cardstock and teamed it up with tea-stained copy paper, old sheet music, Simon Says Stamp Surf Blue cardstock, and Tim Holtz Textured Surfaces cork sheet.

I fussy cut a couple of the elements using 3-D foam adhesive for more dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

A Wedding Couple Pocket Card

Hello and Happy Monday!
It's a beautiful fall day here with lots of sunshine. Perfect for showing off the gorgeous colors of the leaves.
I have one more wedding card to share with pretty much the same papers as my previous card.

The wedding couple are part of the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls by Idea-ology. They're surrounded with lots and lots of lace and appliqués. I've added pearl trim and a rhinestone heart setting I purchased on an Etsy shop. The pretty plain white flowers are from I Am Roses. My bow is a mix of white Joann's organza and wrinkled seam binding ribbon.

Thank you for the visit. Please stop back again!

Congratulations Pocket Card for The Happy Couple

Hi and welcome back friends!
Another wedding card? What can I say. I'm just in the mood for lace and pearls. This card has a Prima paper base and a tea-stained doily and coffee filter envelope.

For the closure, I used an Etsy shop pearl and rhinestone setting. I have several layers of lace on here and a stamped and gold heat embossed Congratulations sentiment.

In the top left corner is an appliqué with an I Am Roses white bloom and another pearl and rhinestone setting with white enameled flowers. My bow on the tag is wrinkled seam binding ribbon and lace.
Thanks for the visit. Please stop by again soon!

Up today is another wedding pocket card. This one's a mix of lovely Kaisercraft papers, tea-stained papers, a paper doily, and Tim Holtz products.

This features an Idea-ology Found Relatives bride and groom photo with a double frame made with Spellbinder's Oval Floral die set and Hobby Lobby glitter paper with patterned cardstock. The fabric flower is from Prima, the bow is wrinkled seam binding and Joann's organza ribbon, and the pearl and rhinestone setting is from an Etsy shop.

It's loaded with laces and appliqués. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Metallic Quotations Sticker.

On Your Wedding Day!

Welcome! I hope you're having a wonderful day!
I have a wedding card to share with you. With lots of lace and appliqués, not to mention pearls and rhinestones, this card is ready for the big event!

The image is from an older Graphic 45 collection on a base of an old Prima paper teamed up with tea-stained copy paper and some other scrap papers.

The flowers are from I Am Roses. The die-cut heart grouping is cut from white glitter paper with a Simon Says Stamp Clipping Heart Wafer Die.

The rhinestone and pearl setting was purchased on Etsy.

Neutral with a Covered Bridge

Hello! Welcome friends!
Neutral is my number one way to go with a card. I can do color... even pink, although it's my least favorite. I can take a bright plaid and run with it. Stripes in bold shades... I'll try. Give me a palette of neutrals and I'm in my element. Make it a pocket card, and that's even better.

This is the last of my June cards and I was still using some scraps. The papers are mostly Kaisercraft and I did die-cuts with Tim Holtz Stitched Circles Thinlits. More glitter paper on this one and lace... I've got to have lots of lace. The flowers are from I Am Roses (my old stand-by).

The rhinestone and pearl setting was purchased on Etsy, and so was the covered bridge digi.

Thank you for the visit! Have a wonderful day!

Celebrate!!!

Hello and welcome!
This top folding 5" x 5.5" birthday card is created with some odds and ends. To be honest I made this one in June and can't remember what these papers are... tisk, tisk! I did some fussy cutting and put it together in 3-D style using foam adhesive tape.

For the mat I used glittered corrugate from Hobby Lobby. Trims include laces from my stash, cut pieces of appliqués and crocheted doilies, as well as these pretty gold sequin trims from Prima.

I cut the "celebrate" from glitter paper using a Tim Holtz Thinlit die Script Celebration Words. A pretty much basic card.

MIA... But Still Creating!

Hi friends!
Needless to say, I have been MIA for some time, but I haven't quit. I just haven't been sharing. My health problems are certainly the cause, but who wants to hear about that. I'm very blessed, and able to create. I have a big backlog of projects to show you, so I'll start with one from June (would you believe?).

Lovely Prima Havanna papers, tea-stained copy paper, a music sheet, laces, die-cuts, 49 and Market shimmer flowers, appliqués, and a Prima resin birdhouse make up this thank you card.

The base is top folding... Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb paper from Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks for joining me today. Please stop back again soon. I have tons more to share.

Lovely Havana Thinking of You

Hello and welcome!
My pink pocket card features Prima's Havanna collection papers, and what a pretty collection it is. I've become a pushover for pink in my old age, and believe me I've never been that fond of this color. I've always been more of a tea-stained, neutral lover, but I've found tea-stained pinks are even more lovely. Especially if added with some natural materials like this little twig heart.

I hope you're all doing well. We are nearly into Fall here and I need to pull out some appropriate papers. Tomorrow is our 53rd wedding anniversary and we are set for some celebrating. Can hardly believe it's that many years.
Have a wonderful week everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!

Lyric All Occasion Pocket Card

Hello and welcome!
It's been awhile, but I promise you I've been busy. Not with crafting however, but with canning, freezing and dehydrating. With the price of organic food being so high I need to preserve as much as possible for the off season while I can buy it now from our local farmers at a lower cost.

I do have several cards I created awhile back that I still haven't posted. This is a pocket card made with Prima's Lyric, some Tim Holtz ephemera, laces, and Hobby Lobby glittered corrugate.

The flowers are by Prima and the pearl and rhinestone setting were bought on eBay.
I hope you are having a wonderful summer. I'll be back more regularly as soon as I get our storage completed.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You Pink Pocket Card

Hello and welcome!
I seem to have missed some time here lately. Summer has a way of doing that to me. Probably you as well.
I have a card to share that I created awhile ago with those beautiful Prima Havana papers.

I made this one a thinking of you top pocket card with lots of yummy lace and pretty I Am Roses flowers.

I hope you're having a wonderful summer and enjoying the warmth.

Prima Lyric Birthday Pocket Card

Hello friends and welcome!
Going through my Prima collections I came across a couple half sheets and some scraps of Lyric. Still one of my favorites, it was thrilling to find these. I had enough to pull together this pocket card with some left to use as add-ons for another card in the future.

I filled in with lots of lace. Then I went through my flower stash and found a white Petaloo bloom. I teamed it with a couple of I Am Roses pale pink flowers matching up my wrinkled seam binding ribbon that I tied to my tag.

These vintage ladies from the Tim Holtz Paper Doll pack fit in nicely, and for some pizzaz one of the beautiful pearl and rhinestone setting embellishments from my stash of sparkling stuff.
Have a very wonderful day!

Someone Special Pocket Card

Hello folks! Welcome!
More rain... ugh! We are very near the flooding stage with the river at the edge of our woods out back.
On a positive note, I have a shabby chic pocket card to share created with Kaisercraft Pen and Ink collection papers and my tea-stained papers. It has a lot of lace, appliqués, and a beautiful pearl and rhinestone embellishment.

The gorgeous flower is by Prima from their older Christmas collection Sweet Peppermint. The leaves are BoBunny chipboard.

The envelope is made with my tea-stained copy paper and a doily. For the closure I used a vintage button and added a rhinestone setting embellishment. Inside I tucked a playing card embellished with fabric, vintage lace scraps, Tim Holtz ephemera, appliqués, tea-stained copy paper and dictionary paper.
Stay dry out there and thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Blue Thank You Card

Happy Monday friends!
Or is it? It's raining here... again. In fact the weather app on my phone says rain for the next ten days. I suppose the bright side is that it gives me more time to craft.
Today I want to share a thank you card I created with Kaisercraft papers. This is a top folding card with a 5"x5.5" white base. Just a pretty basic card with tulle, lace and pearl dangle trims, plus a couple of appliqués.

I hope your Monday goes well. Thanks for stopping by!

Prima Havana Collection Pocket Card

Hello crafty friends!
Today I'm sharing my first project with Prima's Havana. I purchased the 12x12's but nothing else in the collection. I find that there are times when the papers can stand on their own, and can serve as the embellishments if cut or torn in the right manner.

To this one I added some scraps of a sheer fabric with pearl clusters, appliqués, a gorgeous Prima flower with a rhinestone center, and a pearl and rhinestone setting. I love these colors... love the way it finished up. Love this collection.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Sunday!
