Pixie Dust Paperie July Challenge

is all about the butterfly...

Just create a project (layout, card,
wall hanging, ATC, altered item, etc) with a butterfly.
Mine is...

made with my very favorite papers from the
Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden 6x6 Pad Collection.

I even used the BG paper to make these daisies
with the Rolled Daisy Die-namics Die from My Favorite Things.

The challenge ends August 5th, 2011 at 10pm EST,
and one winner will receive a $15.00 gift certificate to The Pixie Shop (the shop with the fabulous Pixie Kits).
Come on girls... start creating!

He Leadeth Me Beside The Still Waters

I needed a sympathy cards for a sweet couple
who had just lost their son. I made this one with white cardstock and paper from the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden 6x6 Pad.

My stamp set is by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps ,
but I don't think it is available anymore. They have lots of new ones, though, that I've put on my wish list.

Since I don't own any markers or colored pencils,
I thought I would try my hand at a brush coloring technique using Tim Holtz Distress Inks, which I do have. Now this is FUN!  Am lovin' this! Well, now the problem is, I need more colors of Distress Ink. Does it ever end?
Have a Happy Day, guys!

City Crafter Challenge #66

Sorry, I haven't been around much...
remember the old song that goes... Summertime and the livin' is easy. Don't you believe it!
Cheryl at CCCB has come up with the challenge of  "It's A Shore Thing" .

You have to create a project that is beach related.

Mine is pretty simple.

Love this beach scene image.

No card of mine seems to escape my hands
shy of flowers and skeleton leaves.

This sheet music came from Deb Hickmen
when we did our A.T.C. swap (Thanks again, Deb... love it!) and of course, Recollections bling on top!
Have a terrific evening!

Yes... I Have My Computer Back

Thank the Lord...
my IMac is back and running!
Now I can show you a card I made a week ago...

This American Crafts Botanique paper is so gorgeous
and glittery. I teamed it up with Melissa Frances' Amanda, a light green cardstock and two shades of light blue cardstock. The DP were from the October Fall In Love Kit from Pixie Dust Paperie .

I used an image from my stash, Recollections
bling and Antique Linen Distress Ink (seems to be my favorite right now... I love the soft effect it gives).

I tied a strip of white tulle around the center
of the card and added the mounted image along with Recollections leaves, MS punched oak leaves and apple blossoms and gardenias from I Am Roses .

This is my "Happy Day" card!
I'm feeling much better with my old buddy Mac back... now I can come and visit you all again.
Have a great weekend!

Bargain Of The Month

I just have to share this with you!
We have a brand new Jo-Anns at our mall and the scrapbook department was all 40% off. That was pretty good in itself, but they also sent me coupons in the mail for either 50% off one item at regular price or 20% off my entire purchase including sale items.

I actually purchased only one item...
I know, I know... well I'm low on funds... but what a deal on that one item.

I got the Crop-A-Dile Eyelet punch and setter
for a mere $14.39 plus tax and they threw in a large size tote for free! The regular price on this puppy is $34.99 but most stores ask $29.99. Anyway you look at it, an amazing deal!
What fabulous bargain have you gotten lately?
