Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #61

It's an honor to be asked to be a
Guest Designer by Tuesday Throwdown for the month of August. For Week #61 the challenge is to make a Birthday project. Oh boy, another opportunity to use the lovely Butterfly Garden Collection from Pink Paislee. I did mention that this is my all time favorite, didn't I?

I used the 6x6 paper pad for this card along
with white and sage green cardstock, and Spellbinders Lacey Circles and Fleur De Lis Squares Nestabilities Dies. Did some machine stitching for more texture and glued on a piece of Deb Hickman's gorgeous vintage lace that she sent me in our ATC swap.

I love this hummingbird and
daffodil digi. Actually they came together as one and I cut them apart to better fit my design. They were so perfect to color with Tim Holt Distress Inks. The daffodil is colored with Wild Honey, Old Paper and Antique Linen. I am really loving this technique and I have to thank Davi for getting me started into something different.

I blended Antique Linen and Old
Paper Distress Inks for the hummingbird.

I taped a bit of the BG paper to a
sheet of copy paper and ran it through the printer to print the sentiment. Cut it out with the smallest square of the Spellbinders FDL. Distressed the edges, popped it up with 3-D foam squares, added some Recollections bling....

and a Tim Holtz Fanciful Button.
Hope you'll check out all the lovely inspirational projects from the DT this week at TT and join us for the challenge.
