Travel

My card stash is
in need of replentishment, but all I've wanted to do is play in my art journal...

The background is
four colors of acrylic craft paint I scraped onto my gesso coated page with an old credit card. Then a layer of stamping.

This map image I had
gotten from Green Paper awhile back and the other was in my stash (Sorry, I don't know the origin).

Take a look at this
texture of the paint... I closed the pages together before they dried and it made all these great peaks and ripples.

This image is from Besottment by Paper Relics.

Today is cold, overcast
and downright ugly with more warnings of snow, but we didn't let that stop us from celebrating! Our son and daughter-in-law had promised to take the Penmaker and me to Pine Tree Barn for lunch for my birthday, which was earlier in the week. After a marvelous meal, we walked all over their furnishing department which is all in the same building (Check it out here).

Me, Sarah and Ethan...
stopping to try out the comfort of a leather sofa. This one would be perfect in our family room!

The Penmaker hurrying us along.
He never minds shopping, as long as we keep moving. LOL!

Ahhhh... purse department!

Outside garden area...
when it warms up, you can have your meal served out here.
If you're in Ohio,
you must stop by here, and I suggest you come at lunch time. I had the Half Club Croissant and Cashew Spinach Salad with Parmesan Peppercorn Dressing and it was out of this world. Their coffee was delicious, also.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hi, Linda! So glad you played in your journal instead of replenishing your card stash. An amazing journey right from your craft room - not only to places far away, but to times past as well! Wonderful entries in your journal. Thanks, too, for sharing the photos of your recent excursion! hugs, de
