Garden Tea Party Pocket Card

We have a busy schedule from now until we leave for Seth's movie premier in New York in April. I'm really excited for this one... meeting new people as well as looking forward to the trip. I haven't been to NY for a number of years, so this is a treat.

My card today is a mix of Graphic 45 and Prima papers with some fussy cutting.

The textured flowers are from Petaloo with a mini heart twig wreath from Darice added. I used Alterations Thinlits Stitched Ovals and Doily... loving' these new dies from Tim Holtz.

Together Owl Pocket Card

This isn't my typical look, but I've been trying to shake things up a bit. I like to try new embellishments, and this owl certainly is different for me. He's from Echo Park's The Story of Our Family chipboard accents

The card base and tag are from Tim Holtz new Dapper paper stash. One of the mats is 7 Dots Studio, Nature Walk. The other papers are Bo Bunny Enchanted Garden. The Together frame is from the EP The Story of Our Family ephemera pack.

The doily was cut with Alterations new Thinlits die by Tim.

My assortment of flowers and leaves are all by Petaloo.

The silver corner filigrees are from The Funkie Junkie Boutique and the half filigree at the top of the frame is from Momenta. The dark blue rhinestones are Prima Say It In Crystals.

G45 Lovely Ladies in Blue Pocket Card

This week I've been all over the map with paper collections... pulling out something different for each card I've created. This one is of Graphic 45 papers with some Prima Lifetime for the frame (Spellbinders Oval Floral).

The fancy button is by Prima, the stamps were fussy cut and paper punched... G45. The flower is a  Petaloo Velvet Hydrangea. 

I'm not sure about the bird... I have several of this style from different sources. Ideology has one, but it has a loop at the top. This one may be Momenta.

The lace scrap is an old piece I've been saving, the flowers are I Am Roses and Petaloo.

The Penmaker has been extra busy with special order pens which makes me extra busy (funny how that works). I'm about two weeks behind in showing what I've created, but maybe I'll catch up soon.

Jar Lid & Pink Roses Pocket Card

Today I got to play with some of my new Tim Holtz supplies that came in the mail last week. I created this pocket card with the Prima Lifetime papers teamed up with some Marion Smith digitals.

I've noticed a lot of projects lately made with jar lids. In fact, in the fall, my daughter-in-law made me an adorable pumpkin decor piece made with them. This said, I decided to go with the fad and try one on my card as a frame for my bird image. I surrounded it with lots of I Am Roses pink flowers and Petaloo velvet leaves.

I added some lace to soften it up a bit and a little cheesecloth that I colored using Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint Distress inks. I put in a couple of mini crocheted doilies, burlap string and pink roses. I popped my image up with a square of corrugate.

To the right side I added a border cut with my new Alterations Thinlits Stitched Ovals set, and for my tag I used the Idea-ology Rumnant Rubs Gilded Accents in gold.

This square frame I cut with Alterations Ornate Frame #2 in white cardstock. I applied a coat of Clear Rock Candy Distress crackle paint and when it was dry, I sponged it with Frayed Burlap Distress ink.

This afternoon, the Penmaker and I will be heading to The Colony Short Film Festival in Marietta, Ohio, to the debut of our son's newest documentary. This will be our first event for 2016 and the year looks like it will be a busy one for us.

Memories All Occasion Pocket Card

Eclectic to the hilt. This card is a real mix of collections and patterns. There are so many I'm sure I'll leave something out, so I'll just let you guess. I was picking up a bit of this and a little of that from off my desk before I got down to clearing it again. In the long run, I think the best projects are born in that way.

If there's anything you want to know about, just give me a shout. I'm happy just hanging out in my studio today, creating and drinking Starbucks.

Happiness Pocket Card

Happiness... isn't that what we all want in life. I left this card blank so it could be used for quite a few occasions... good to have on hand in your stash.

It's made with Bo Bunny's Heritage and Juliet collections along with a bird digi.

Happiness  is a Prima Ingvild Bolme Jeans Plate. I have a package of these in my stash I had forgotten about, and was shouting for joy when I saw them. Found treasure!!!

The white corrugate is Canvas Corp and the banner is a 3-D BB Juliet sticker with additional 3-D foam under it.

Cheesecloth with a Petaloo Botanica and an ivory burlap string bow.

I Am Roses flowers and leaves along side a Prima resin Shabby Chic Treasure corner piece.

It's raining to beat the band here. It's been such a mixture of temperatures with first snow then rain, but I have to say the sky looks amazing. Thank you Lord for little pleasures.

Mixed Media Enchanted Garden Pocket Card

Working with Bo Bunny's Enchanted Garden papers here and playing with inks. I really need a couple good days of working in my art journal, but haven't been able to find the time. This card gave me that release of energy that getting my fingers dirty with ink does for me. A freedom of expression.

I worked with Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage and Twisted Citron Distress inks rubbed out on my craft mat, sprayed with water and dabbed onto a piece of white cardstock... several times and drying with my heat tool in between. I used the Alterations Thinlits Mixed Media little circles die on it next, then sponged the edges with Frayed Burlap DI. I did the same with a scrap of paper, and stamped it with Tim Holtz Nature Walk Fig.1, etc, stamp.

Next I did the leaves using some of the Enchanted Garden paper with green tones. I stamped it with the leaf stamp from that same set of Tim's with Jet Black Archival. I fussy cut them and heat embossed each with Ranger's UTEE.

The wood butterflies are from my favorite wood shop in Tennessee. The tag is decorated with a silver eyelet, a hand-dyed seam binding bow (same Distress ink colors), a garment pin, a crystal rondel bead and a fairy charm.

The flowers are Petaloo. I just bought the smaller ones, which are called Chantilly Velvet Hydrangea. As always I had to get all the colors, but yellow would have been good as well. 

The circle tag here, came on some seam binding I had just purchased, and worked in perfectly with the colors. I love using found treasures!
