Pumpkin Is The Spice of Life All Occasion Card

Hello and welcome!
It's a freezing, icy, sleeting day here. A good time to be indoors and crafting.
I have a coffee lovers card to show you today. I'm a huge fan of pumpkin spice lattes, but since I'm on an anti-inflammatory diet I can't drink the traditional ones that the cafes make. I sure am missing that part of this pumpkin season, I can tell you! To ease the pain, I made a pumpkin spice latte card instead using the Carta Bella Hello Fall kit I purchased at Scrapbook Super Station.

I love the design of this card... so much fun!

The papers are loaded with pumpkins, and of course there's that lovely take-out cup. I added a bit of orange glitter paper and a few sequins for shine, plus some Tim Holtz Alterations Thinlits tiny fall leaves and an I Am Roses bloom.

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Collors of Fall All Occasion Card

Hello sweet friends!
Just got back home from a doctor's appointment and a stop at our local diner for an early dinner date with my sweetheart. It's really looking like a storm. Most of the leaves are down here, but we saw some pretty ones up north earlier today. So I'm assuming that this rain will bring any hangers-on down as well.

My card for today is another of the Carta Bella Hello Fall collection. The base was cut with the Sizzix Framelits Circle Flip-its Die Set. It came in the kit I purchased from Scrapbook Super Station. Love the ease of these kits.

I did add a die-cut made with gold glitter paper from Hobby Lobby and Spellbinders Scalloped Circles dies. Always need that extra touch that says this is my card.

Have a fantastic day, my friends, and thanks for stopping by!

Thankful For You Fall Card

Hello! Welcome to my blog on this Fall Saturday morning!
The Penmaker is anticipating lots of leaf mulching if the weather holds. What are you planning for the day?

My Carta Bella Hello Fall collection card is a more of a Thanksgiving themed one. I just love the patterns on these papers... Fall trees and leaves... what can be prettier? Maybe a little orange glitter and golden gems? Whatever the mix, I really am happy to have purchased this kit. (Here)

I have just two more to finish up, then I'm on to something else.

Fall Is In The Air Card

Hi there and Happy Friday!
I've put together another Hello Fall card using the Carta Bella collection kit I purchased at Scrapbook Super Station. I can tell you I'm having a ball making these cards. I just sit back and follow their instructions, but I add a few of my own touches.

On this card I added an additional layer with some Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft Cardstock. This is the older pack that came in the 12x12 size and had bronze in the mix. That's the color I used here. It gave the card a little more warmth and stability.

Also I used this yellow stitched ribbon instead of the darker one suggested. I love the brightness it brings to the overall look.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend and can get in some crafting time. I'm going to try to work in one of my art journals, but who knows how that will turn out. It's been a long while since I pulled any of them out. We will see!

Hello Fall All Occasion Card

Hello friends and welcome!
We're having a warm rainy Fall day. Strange the way our temperatures have been up and down this season. It's Halloween... it should be cold. Nevertheless I'm still making Fall cards. Lots of them, using my Carta Bella Hello Fall kit from Scrapbook Super Station

This card called for several die-cuts. This main one is Avery Elle's Elle-Ments Horizontal Stripes. It
was part of the pre-cut kit contents, but I really think I need to purchase the die. I can think of several cool ways to use it.

I added a circle layer under this die-cut that came in the Ephemera pack, then I topped them with some foliage. For these I used Tim Holtz Thinlits Fall Foliage and Festive Greens. To make the foliage I took a sheet of 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock and smooshed it onto a selection of Distress Inks... Rusty Hinge, Carved Pumpkin, and Wild Honey... that I had misted with water, drying with my heat tool between applications.

The ribbon, burlap string, and tiny acorn charm all came in the kit, as well as the patterned papers and the kraft A2 size card base. The envelope was included too.

Have a great day and I'll be back soon with more Fall cards.
Thanks for stopping by.

Adelaide's Fall Birthday Card

Hello sweet friends and welcome!
Today I have a birthday card to share that I made using the Carta Bella Hello Fall collection that I purchased as a kit from Scrapbook Super Station. I changed up this card slightly to make it a birthday card for granddaughter Adelaide, who turns five today.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!!

I just love the Fall... everything about it. I don't even mind all the rain. It reminds me of the years the Penmaker and I would go to New England in October to see the gorgeous foliage turning color. It always seemed to rain when we went. Have you ever noticed how beautiful a cloudy Fall sky looks when it's about to rain? I digress. I get carried away on the beauties of Fall.

Back to Adelaide's card... an A2 card with lots of dimension. I added an orange organza bow made from ribbon purchased from Joanns at 60% off (watch for their sales on ribbon... fabulous!) and an orange paper flower that came in the kit. The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped using Clearly Besotted's Many Mini Messages from Simon Says Stamp and Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger onto a strip of the patterned paper I cut with a fishtail end.

For bling, because Adelaide loves a little glitz, I glued on a few orange sequins.

Have a wonderful day, Adelaide, and all of you, as well!

Leaves Are Falling, Autumn Is Calling Card

Hello and welcome!
I've been taking a little break from crafting, but that never seems to last. Those papers and dies call to me from my craft room and draw me back.

I made a simple A2 card using a kraft cardstock base and materials from a Scrapbook Super Station kit that I believe is discontinued. The collection is Carta Bella's Hello Fall... a lovely set of fall patterned papers and ephemera.

I added in some DCWV orange glitter paper as a mat for some pizzaz, and edged everything in Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. The burlap string bow is in orange and it's tied to a dainty silver plated leaf charm that came in the kit. The flowers are by I Am Roses, except for the one brown rosebud which was part of the kit contents.

I hope you're having a fantastic week.

Serenity Encouragement Card

Happy Monday, Friends!
Sorry for the absence lately. My Mom had some physical problems and we needed to be on hand to help. She is 96 now, so things can get serious in a hurry. Glad to say, she's home again and doing pretty well.
I was able to get one card made for a friend at church who is also having some difficulties. I gave it a Fall theme since those are the papers I have laying on my desk right now, along with a stack of stamped sentiments I created when I first bought my TH Stamp Platform. I had made a pile of Thinlits Fall Foliage die-cut leaves, too, and added a few of those for some color.

I topped it off with granddaughter Katie's acorns.

Hope this the the beginning of a great week for you!

It's Pumpkin Season Gatefold Card

Hi friends! It's a beautiful Saturday morning here in Ohio.
I'm biding my time till it warms up a bit and I can get outside and trim some bushes. The weather has been ideal for outdoor work, so I need to get it done before things start to cool down.

I created another Fall themed gatefold card to show you. I'm really loving this style and, of course, Prima's Amber Moon collection.

The ephemera pack contains some vellum pieces... such a great assortment. I used this wreath one, backing it with a Thinlits Stitched Circles die-cut and popping it up with 3-D foam adhesive.

A half of a Tim Holtz Pumpkin Pieces with a piece of real vine and a couple of leaves cut with Thinlits Fall Foliage. I inked the edges with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. The tiny blossom is from I Am Roses.

The real acorns came from my daughter's front yard. My supply was running low, so I asked my granddaughter if she would get me some more. She presented me with a quart Mason jar a third filled. I will probably never run out again.
I always bake my naturals for 20 minutes at 220 degrees to make sure there are no creepy-crawly things in them.

Another piece of ephemera teamed with Fall Foliage and Festive Greens pine die-cuts.

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Gatefold Card with Thinlits Scarecrow

Hey there, sweet friends! Happy Thursday!
These gatefold cards are addicting. So much fun to make trying to match papers for the different sections. In a way, they're like making a pocket card without the tag.

This one was for our son's birthday. Since I wanted to make it a Fall theme, I pulled out my new Scarecrow die. I used a textured black cardstock to cut this cute guy along with the birds. Since the paper had a black core, I didn't do any sanding on this one.

The papers are a variety of brands, but that top one is Prima's Amber Moon. The "happy" die cut and "birthday" stamp are from Avery Elle's Sentimental Too sets of dies and stamps. The leaves were cut with Sizzix Thinlits Fall Foliage.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Together Gatefold Anniversary Card

Hi dear friends!
Another busy time for the Penmaker and me... helping out with family projects. So happy we're in good health and able to lend a hand.
I stopped long enough to create a gatefold card for our daughter and S-I-L's anniversary.

When I pre-ordered Tim Holtz Home For The Holidays Thinlits set, I thought it might be one of those double-duty Christmas dies that would be good for more than just the one holiday. I was right.

I have several ideas in my head, and this Fall card is one of them. Nothing says you have to put the gift box in the trunk. After all, you can fussy-cut just about anything and stick in there.

I chose a variety of last year's Fall papers in my stash and added them with some from my new Amber Moon collection from Prima. The circle is Thinlits Stitched Circles. Also in the mix is burlap from the TH Textured Surfaces package. I cut the Together sentiment with Friendship Words Block Thinlits double layering it.

Thankful For This Life Fall Pocket Card

Hello again, crafty friends!
Don't you just love Fall? Today it's really looking like it. Our hot spell seems to have subsided, and the forecast is lower temps for a few days. Heightens my mood for Fall card making.
This one began with a base of Bo Bunny's Dreams of Autumn Foxes... and since there or no foxes on this sheet you probably guessed I used the B side, which is a gorgeous shade of orange with a bit of text and some splatters... lovely!

The others layers are Prima's Amber Moon. I'm crazy about the wood, the pine and cones, roses, butterflies, and birds. This collection is SO pretty!

I did some stamping for my focal point using the timepiece from The Outpost set by Artistic Outpost. The ink is Archival Coffee. I stamped it on a die-cut of Alterations Thinlits Labels set. I did several of these and adhered them together to make a thick stack. I edged all the papers with Distress ink in Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo.

The florals were cut with Thinlits new Festive Greens and Fall Foliage. I added on a printed chipboard butterfly from the Amber Moon collection, as well as the "thankful for this life" sentiment.

I finished it off with two antique bronze filigrees in two of the corners.
