Not a home remodel, but another card remodel. I have a box to keep extra cards in that have been moved out my case in the living room. Sometimes you just have to rearrange things so the new items can be put front and center. Well this card got shuffled to the bottom and forgotten. I needed something cherry to send to a dear friend who is now in a nursing home. When I rediscovered this neglected card, I thought that would be perfect, if...
I first trimmed it down a little in size, added fresh flowers,
repositioned the bling, and wha-law... a brand new card. What do you think?
Before
or after...?
Just to prove I been hoarding too much paper, I still had the green dot base paper and was able to use it for the inside mat. Well, I guess hoarding can be a good thing... maybe.
I hope you all have a great weekend. We are headed this afternoon to Kent, Ohio, to prepare for a screening of Minerva Monster... the last one scheduled for this year. There are still library engagements we will attend, but no more screenings. It has been a whirlwind summer. I still don't know where it went. I only know we have been super, super busy and we still have a big event next weekend that I'm really anxious to tell you about.
Thanks for stopping by!
Linda

You really turned this into a beauty. Good idea to rework some old cards and add some extra love. Your friend will love it!
I'm sure your friend will love this beautiful card!
Love the added blooms!
Wow! The remake looks fantastic. I think the more compact shape really puts the focus back on the central image and of course you can never have too many pretty flowers.
Oh, yes, LOVE the transformation, Linda! Love how the ruffled trim now goes off the side edge, as that really shows it off to perfection. And love the new blooms. This will really bring a smile to your friend, I am sure of that! Hope this weekend's screening was a huge success. And looking forward to your news!
