Pixie Dust Paperie June Challenge

The June challenge at Pixie Dust Paperie
is to make a project... layout, card, wall hanging, altered item, etc... based on this inspirational photo...

Here is the card I am entering...

It isn't at all what I had planned...
but due to technical difficulties (Glossy Accents splattering all over the black cardstock) this is how it ended up.

I have learned in life you have to roll with the punches!

Hope you'll join us for this challenge.
Have a wonderful Saturday!

City Crafter Challenge #62 - You're #1

with Cheryl Nelson as hostess, is to use the number one or the word "first" on any project of your choice.
Here is mine...

I created one of Tim Holtz's little mini books
using one 12 x 12 sheet of Pink Paislee Soiree - Words DP from the Summer of Love June Pixie Kit.

The rosette is made from a strip of Pebbles Ever
After - Royal Garden DP with a touch of Worn Lipstick Distress Ink on the edges . I also used this paper for the tab cut from Spellbinders Labels Seventeen.

I glitzed up the I AM Roses and Recollection
roses with Cotton Candy Pink Starburst Spray and the leaves with Meadow Green Glimmer Mist.

The Thickers #1 was painted with Mod Podge
then sprinkled with Twinklets Diamond Dust. Put a bit on the tips of the I Am Roses flower also. A butterfly charm from Lindy's Stamp Gang,  Maya Road heart pins, Tin Holtz bauble and a key charm from my stash.

Tim Holtz tissue tape tinted with Worn Lipstick
Distress Ink finishes all the edges of the book. I'll wait to embellish the inside when I know to whom it will go.
Create something of your own and join us at CCCB.

R And R

Today was one of those days that I
will look back on and say it was special. When I got up this morning, I felt that I just had to run away from home. So the Penmaker and I left all our work behind, and drove to West Virginia. Guess what we did...

We went here...

and here...

and bought this...

and this!
I feel much better now, thank you!
Enjoy your evening. I think I'll do some playing in my craft room.

The Shade Garden

I'm working on a graphics project for a friend
right now and haven't had time to create anything... paperwise.

So I ran to the shade garden and
snapped a few photos. Thought you might enjoy looking at our day lilies that are all about to bloom.

I haven't gotten many annuals planted
this year... the wheel barrel is still empty. It's normally overflowing with pink impatiens.

This is my favorite piece.

Our dog Cassidy strikes a pose while trying to
scare up a snake or two.

Hope you all have a great week. Will be back
as quick as I can... maybe I can finish up tonight!

Pink Paislee And I Am Roses

Again I'm working with the Pink Paislee Butterfly
Garden 6 x 6 Collection of gorgeous papers. I combined them with Kraft Outlet's Kraft cardstock and a light blue cardstock from my stash.

The edges are inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
I used Spellbinders Lacy Circles and Large Classic Circles dies and sprayed the smaller kraft one with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls Mist.

The lace is from Surplus City, Inc. The butterfly
charm was purchased from Lindy's Stamp Gang (you really need to check them out).

All the beautiful flowers and skelton leaves are
from I Am Roses. After using these from my first order, I can tell you I will be placing another soon. The quality of the flowers I bought is excellent.

Now on to the good stuff...
Two Bullet Pens from the Penmaker... (L) Camouflage in acrylic and (R) Cottonwood Burl.

Left to right... Buckeye Burl, then two handmade
acrylics... Norse Pride and Tiger Swirl. Wish you could actually see these in person. I just can't capture the beauty with my camera.
Well, that's all for today... Have a great weekend!

Royal Garden

This will be quick as I am trying to get my shade
garden in order. I used the beautiful Royal Garden paper, some tiny crocheted flowers, Recollections bling and an Etsy purchased butterfly to make this card. It has been another unusual day here weather wise. We had a storm this afternoon that knocked more branches down in the shade garden. Can hardly keep them picked up this year. As soon as I have it cleaned up... another storm hits. I think the Lord is telling me I need more bending exercise.
Hope you have a Happy Day!
