I seem to be living in the past in using all my older papers. I am determined NOT to buy any new ones until this "stockpile" of collections is reduced. Now really, why would I want the latest when I still have this. I LOVE this collection! Do you remember these gorgeous designs by Marion Smith for Prima called Romance Novel?
Seriously, I still have over half a package of the chipboard pieces, several flowers, and quite a few sheets of the papers.
They mixed wonderfully with these tiny two-tone pink rose buds I just got from I Am Roses. So instead of using my Prima ones, I went with I Am Roses and Petaloo. I layered them on some cheesecloth. Then I teamed them with leaves cut with Alterations Tattered Flower Garland and May Arts natural burlap string bows.
All the edges are inked with Vintage Photo Distress. These two white and grey papers (cut with Alterations Distress Doily and Mini Tickets) are Marion's downloads I bought a few years ago.
As I've been doing lately, I used a rather large amount of 3-D foam. (Just in case you're wondering about this excess of 3-D foam tape, my daughter bid on three enormous rolls on eBay and got them at a terrifically low price for me. I can now afford to be extravagant with the stuff.)
I always like to finish my cards inside, too. They seem more substantial that way.
Thank you for stopping by!
Linda

This is really beautiful!
P/s: I have not bought patterned papers in 2 years! Even though I do get some by way of design teams.
Using old stash and not buying new; that has been my mantra for years! Wishing you better luck than I have had :) I recently was hired to create a 26-page 12x12 album. I tried to use my oldest papers, but for some of the LOs I actually used my newest stash. But it is complete and my stash slightly reduced without purchasing ANYTHING, so I will call it a win LOL. And LOs use paper faster than card making.
Your card is absolutely stunning! I don't recognize these papers at all, so they look new to me :)
Wow!! This is so beautiful!! Love all the beautiful embellishments! Well done to your daughter getting that foam tape! The good stuff is so expensive!
This is stunning Linda!!! Love the design and those gorgeous papers! What a crafting gem this is!!! Thank you for the inspiration!
How gorgeous, Linda! And good for you for using your old stash! This is really stunning! Your details and layers always blow me away, and I adore the vintage typewriter and soft colors here. Feminine and dainty... my favorite shabby chic combo!
Beautiful piece Linda!! I love the amazing layering and those little tickets are fabulous! The subtle pattern on your doily is so lovely, I really enjoy all the small details that you always include! hugs :)
Wow, this is absolutely gorgeous, Linda!! I love the details!! The layers and flowers are fabulous!! I have a few sheets of that paper left but I hate for it to be gone so I hoard it (I do that with a lot of paper...maybe I should use it so I can buy new!!) Awesome deal on the foam tape, too!! I can't make a project without it. I buy the big rolls in the paint section of Walmart and then cut it down. It's so much cheaper than the crafty foam tape. Have a great day :)
