A Fall Prayer Request Notebook

Our daughter's mother-in-law was in the hospital after suffering a stroke. I wanted to send her a little gift that she could use to write her prayer requests in. The Penmaker had bought several of these kraft notebooks, and the orange one caught my eye. Just perfect for a fall theme.

I used two Tim Holtz Wallflower paper patterns, layering with the one cut with Alterations Torn Notebook on top. I edged it all with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I glued on some ecru cotton crocheted lace and a border strip of Graphic 45's A Place in Time November. I added two hand dyed wool leaves (Alterations Mini Tattered Leaves), a Petaloo Botanica, an orange dyed seam binding bow, a mini hang tag (Alterations Tiny Tags & Tabs), and May Arts natural burlap string bow.

I tucked in a Prima Pebble decorated with a pumpkin from a piece of Graphic 45's An Eerie Tale. For the pen, I tried a couple different papers, but they were too heavy. I ended up with Idea-ology Melange tissue paper, and applied it with my Liquitex matte medium. I tied on a seam binding bow and a wood Tennessee key. Pretty simple project.

Thanks for stopping by today! I really appreciate it!
Linda

Ohhhhh, this is gorgeous, Linda! I LOVE all the orange and the rich texture from the trims, felt leaves, pebble, and flower. The matching pen looks just perfect with its tissue wrap. Beautiful! And I'm sure your DD's MIL will truly love and appreciate this!
