Scrappin In The Smokies Back Flip Mini Album Part 4

My album is created mostly
with Prima's Engraver collection. The pattern is Laura Denison's Back Flip Mini Album that you can purchase here.

Today the Penmaker and
I should be on our way home from the Mid-Atlantic Penturners Gathering and our vacation in Virginia. Even though I took supplies along to work at the condo, I'm really looking forward to being back at my own desk in my own craft room.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Scrappin In The Smokies Back Flip Mini Album

 I've been taking my
time with this back flip mini album by Laura Denison, so I decided to post the first signature that I have finished. Who knows when I'll get the entire thing completed. This one has been a lot of work, but oh so fun! Plus, I'm remembering every detail of that vacation in the process.

I'm using the Engraver
collection by Prima on this... both 12" x 12" and 6" x 6" papers. These fabulous die cuts are from my favorite scrap shop, Your Scrapbook Super Store in Sevierville, TN (the bear is flocked paper). The flowers are Prima Serenity, the canvas leaves are also by Prima, and the foliage was cut with a Spellbinder's Foliage die and a Martha Stewart Oak Leaf punch. The metal corners are Idea-ology.

Inside front cover... another
YSSS die cut and Petaloo teastained flowers and leaves.

The back flip mini has
six signatures in three styles. This first one starts out with a page with a flap...

that flips back to
expose a pocket with a photo mat. Now this page flips down...

and I have another
pocket at the top with a photo mat and a photo mat at the bottom ( I have to say this is the worst possible photo of me, but other than that I love it of us and had to include it). Fold this all back and....

I have this...
then that top section opens into a tri-fold...

The middle part is a pocket
holding a double sided photo mat... the bottom pocket is for odds and ends I wanted to save plus a journaling tag...

it folds back and I have
another place for addresses and journaling.

All of those pages now
flip to the left and I have a pocket and a photo mat. LOVE that Petaloo flower from Petaloo's Botanicas.

Can't wait until their new
spring colors of that collection are released.

The pocket contains a
double sided photo mat.

It's hard to see, but the
bow on the burlap string is fastened with a tiny safety pin by Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby.

Backside of the last page.
I used my Scallop Corner Chomper to make the tab, and the trees were cut with Alterations Mini Pine Tree die.

You can see here the five
additional signatures that need to be decorated.

Would love to know what
you think of my back flip mini so far.

Mini Christmas Tags And "Rejoice" Christmas Mini Album

These are two smaller
tags I created on 4.25" x 2.125" kraft tags from Hobby Lobby by The Paper Studio. The paper is Graphic 45, the gorgeous red flowers are by Petaloo and the stars are Artisan Chipboard from Pink Paislee.

Now for a few more pages
from my Rejoice Christmas mini album. Did you notice that the pages are alternated with kraft, black and white cardstock? You might also be thinking that you've seen the design of some of these pages before, which you would have if you visit my blog regularly. The basic pattern for this album is the Simple Treasures one by Laura Denison that I posted here in October. I just love this style, so I carried it out in the Christmas theme.

I really thought I could get
through this album today, but it looks like I'll have to go with one more post... just too many photos to show you.
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Simple Treasures Journal Mini Album Part 5

Coming to the end of this
series of posts on the Simple Treasures Journal Mini Album, I realize I have nothing more to add to what I've already said about this experience. It was truly a rewarding journey for me!

Here are my last two pages...

page seventeen

This one is absolutely loaded.

Top pocket with tag.

The front flips up to
reveal a mini kraft bag with photo mats behind. Laura had used a time card in this spot... something I didn't have in my stash, so I improvised with some old Prima packaging.

A tag in the mini kraft bag...

which, when folded down,
shows you still another pocket...

containing another photo mat/journaling card.

 Going back to the front,
we have a side pocket that holds a large folder for photos and a small spot for journaling.

page eighteen

This final page was probably
the hardest for me to photograph. This is a four page double sided booklet attached to the base with Baker's twine.

Each of four pages is
tabbed with a kraft tag, tied with twine and matted for photos...

with one large photo mat
at the very back adorned with a pretty red Petaloo bloom for a splash of color.
I hope you've enjoyed having
a peek at my Simple Treasures JMA... which was not so simple, but certainly to me, a treasure!
