Botanical Nature Walk Pocket Card

Layers... lots of layers! All made with 7 Dots Studio Nature Walk... one of my all time favorite collections and Tim Holltz Botanical Layers.

This floral Botanical piece was just perfect for what I was going for in this card. I added in a chipboard fern from the Nature Walk collection by UmWow Studio called Exotic Florals. I left it in it's natural state so it wouldn't compete with the neutral color scheme.

For a bit of glitz, a Prima pearl swirl, lace, and some half pearls...

and a white organza bow for my tag.

I chose the small yellow butterfly from the Botanical Layers for my only little color pop.
I am totally happy with this one!!!

We Can Do It! Pocket Card

Can't help but think of our daughter Sarah when I look at this image. This is her to a T. I may just put this card away until her birthday.

I made this a while back, and as usual, when I wait to post, I forget half of the papers I used. The image, I know, is from Authentique's Honor. The card base is Bo Bunny's Heritage Census from the Heritage collection. I think the others are by Bo Bunny also. My flowers and leaves came from I Am Roses. I especially love the navy curly rose.

The ephemera pieces are by Tim Holtz Idea-ology, and the text printed stars are Artisan Chipboard by PinkPaislee. The wood US flag is from my favorite wood shop in Tennessee.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Happy Birthday Card and Motorcycle Pens

Just a quick post today with a birthday card I created for our son-in-law JD. He is quite the manly man, and it's always a challenge to make him a card with no frills. A real test of my metal.

The Penmaker created a couple new motorcycle pens I wanted to show you. These are both of designer acrylic.

Home Sweet Home Pocket Card

Hi friends!
Today I have a bright, cheery card to put you in the mood for some sweet, tasty strawberries. I've combined several different paper collections here to come up with my pink and red home sweet home theme, starting with a base of Bo Bunny DoubleDot in Passion Fruit Vintage.

The pink gingham is from Echo Park's Lori Whittlock Celebrate Spring collection called Blooming Flowers. Next up are Authentique's Saucy. I used their Saucy Two and Saucy Four sheets.

From Carta Bella I chose their Carina Gardner collection Home Sweet Home. The tag is cut from Baking Tags and the red home sweet home sentiment from Kitchen Labels.

The cute little pink clothes clip I bought at Pat Catan's.

The recipe tab and the banner came from the Carta Bella Home Sweet Home Ephemera pack. My flowers are all from I Am Roses and I used raspberry wrinkled seam binding for my bows.

My layers are popped up with 3-D foam adhesive.
This is one of my favorite images, mostly because of her sweater. I have one just like it that I'm wearing as I write this. It say the least... I'm a huge cardigan fan.

A Tim Holtz Extravaganza Pocket Card

Yeah, I know extravaganza is probably not the best word to describe a card, but it was the closest fit for what I felt it is... a elaborate production of quality paper products creatively put together in a card to gave to a family member or friend. Ummmm... a bit much, you say. Still, it is a lot of TH.

The base, tag and the focal image are from the 12x12 Wallflower Paper Stash. You'll also spot some Dapper mixed in those layers.

In between is paper from Echo Park's Celebrate Spring collection, and a TH Alterations Thinlits Doily cut from Garden Tools of the same EP collection.

Do you remember my Sneak Peeks from January's Creativation 2017 that I moved over to my want list? Well, at least one of those SP made it's way to my craft room... Idea-ology's Botanical Layers. This bird image...

the arch of flowers, and the yellow wild flowers all came from that collection.

I mixed that yarrow piece in with my other florals, popping it up with 3-D foam adhesive. The ferns and berries were cut with Thinlits Garden Greens.

The yellow bloom is a Petaloo Botanica. These are still my top favorite flowers from Petaloo.

Tucked into the layers, you can see some TH Ephemera Thrift Shop. The antique brass corner piece is from my stash, and a beautiful way to finish up a card.

Happy Birthday Masculine Card

Sitting here at my window, the sky has gone from black with lowering clouds to blue with sunshine in a matter of minutes. That's Ohio for you. Truly though, the county we live in is gorgeous, and I would find it hard to leave this area. A scrapbook shop could improve it greatly, however, but what are the chances of that happening?

I have one Ikea storage box full of 6x6 paper pads in my craft room. Lately with this urge to downsize my stash, I've been pulling them out trying to see how many sheets I can use up. The birthday card I created for our Pastor's birthday is an example. Along with the kraft card base I used the Market Square pad by Farm House Paper Company ... which is now out of business. Which makes me ask, have you noticed how many paper companies have closed their doors?

This is a beautiful paper collection with a very vintage feel.

I added a couple die-cuts using Alterations Thinlits Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Ovals for some layering along with a Jolee's Nostalgiques golf bag and clubs sticker. I cut the antiques sign from the paper pad.

My sentiment was cut with Thinlits Celebration Words.

Well, the sun has now disappeared behind some very dark clouds and, I need to turn on a light. One thing about today... it certainly isn't dull.

Remembering These Special Moments Pocket Card

I've always been a big fan of Prima products, which is why they fill nearly one quarter of my paper stash boxes. Most of the Prima collections I have, however, are older ones. I just haven't been smitten with any of their newer designs. Their 2013 Lyric collection though... LOVE IT!!!

With the variety of colors in this collection, embellishments can run in any direction... peach, pinks, fuchsia, black & white, beige. I went with a really hot pink on this pocket card, toning it down with some white doilies.

The flowers and leaves are all from I Am Roses and the die-cut were made with Spellbinders and Alterations dies.

A beautiful day of sunshine here in Ohio. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday wherever you are, whatever the weather.
