Bon Voyage

the girls have dedicated this week to Linda Robinson, their fellow team mate and everyone's dear friend. Her and her husband are packing up and starting on an adventure. How I wish the best of everything for them.
The challenge is Bon Voyage.

I used some old
Pink Paislee papers from my stash for this one... I've just got to clear out some of the old to make room for the new. These die cuts are by Farm House... the Market Square Adhesive Chipboard collection. The Chitchat Stickers are by Idea-ology. I used both Black Soot and Evergreen Bough Distress Ink on the edges. These beautiful flowers are all from I Am Roses.

Be sure to stop by
Linda's blog and wish her the best. Then get your project linked up. There's a fabulous fifty dollar gift card for the winner!

Washi Tag

When I read about the
challenge hostess Kirsty came up with this week at City Crafters, I just knew I had to drop my paint brush and gesso, and get in on this instead. Pull out your washi tape and tags, girls, and create a Washi Tag!

I recently bought some
black #8 tags, so I started with one of those, and my new Prima Engraver washi tape.

This morning I had
downloaded three freebie tags from Prima's Facebook page. I cut out one of those and added it to the mix along with the Prima Engraver collection. I kid you not... I have nearly every product in this collection... just a couple more items I need to find. I LOVE THIS COLLECTION!!!

This pretty wood berry
piece is from KaiserCraft. When I received it in the mail, it was broken, so I just cut it up even more and used the smaller sections.

Be sure to check out
the Design Teams projects... some pretty stuff!!! And you must see their Guest Designer Wendy's blog... WOW!

Now... The Penmaker presents...

When he was
buying acrylic blanks last week, I asked him to get this one... French Country right?

He's doing styluses
now. He made one for me a few weeks back, and I can't do without it for my Kindle. Mine is blue to match my case.

Watch for a Giveaway soon!
The Penmaker and I are working on something special.

All That Glitters Has A Song

Charlene's put together
a fun challenge this week at City Crafters called "All That Glitters"

Add any kind or color of glitter to your project, like mine here...

I put Clear Rock
Candy Stickles on all my white flowers and on my stamped image (wish the camera would pick it up better).

I used a black
textured cardstock base and papers from Basic Greys' Basic Manila and My Mind's Eye So Sophie 6x6 pads.

This stamp is from
Artistic Outpost's Serenity stamp set and teamed with Archival Ink in Jet Black. Black Soot Distress Ink was sponged on the paper edges after I distressed them with my paper distresser from Tonic.

The metal black bird
is by Momenta. The white flowers are I Am Roses and the lavender ones are Recollections. The clock is chipboard cut with Alterations Weathered Clock die and finished in Tarnished Brass Distress Stain and Titanium White acrylic paint for a shabby chic look.

The doily is French
Lace paper and the feathers came from a mixed packaged purchased at Hobby Lobby.
I've tried every camera
angle I could think of, but with no sunlight today I believed I've failed at showing you the glitter accents... I apologize!

It's A Small World

Challenge Blog, hostess Kirsty is singing "It's A Small World", and she wants us to make a project with a map or DP with map prints. Wow!... there are lots to choose from.

I picked some from
Idea-ology and created this card...

Teamed with black
and pale yellow textured cardstocks, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, some flowers from my stash and I Am Roses leaves. The metal corner is by Momenta. The frame is the negative from an Alterations Mini Tickets cut, and is edged with a Zig Painty oil based paint marker in gold.

Be Mine Card

I need to get
back to work. Haven't done one thing in the studio yet today. The Penmaker and I went out for breakfast and some Michaels looking. I would have said shopping, but nothing was on sale, there were no coupons this week, and nothing was on clearance that I needed. I'm guessing that all the good stuff was grabbed up over Saturday and Sunday..
I did a couple of
pages in my Press journal and made a card this weekend, which isn't a lot for two whole days. I did however find Laurel From NJ on Ustream and spent hours watching her make some fabulous mini albums a la Paula. Here is the card...

Now this is my
idea of vintage... Echo Park and My Mind's Eye papers from last year and extremely old and faded Valentine stickers. These gorgeous gems are Prima's Say It In Crystals, the heart trinket pins are by Maya Road and the flowers and leaves are I Am Roses. The paper heart doily is from my stash.

Hope you had a
great weekend. Ours could have been better being we both were sick with sinus problems. We are considering heading down to Florida soon with a stop at Donna Downey's shop in NC. She's still in Europe, so we have to figure out out schedule. It would be fabulous to meet her. Does anyone know if she is usually in her store when she's at home (NC)? Am really wanting some more of her products, so what better way to get them. Anyway, that's the plan.

My Heart Is Fixed

I'm running way
behind today. Started out with a doctor's appointment, a trip up to Canton with breakfast at Cracker Barrel, a stop at Michael's for tape runner refills that were on sale, a side stop to pick up a cinnamon roll at Panera for my son, then a swing by Starbucks for a latte. I had time though this afternoon to get a card made...

On a Recollections Kraft
cardstock base, I layered red cardstock and Lille papers from the 8x8 pad by 7 Gypsies.

The butterfly is
a very old one from Recollections... and by the way... have you seen all the new Recollections embellishments at Michael's? Yowzers!!!

The paper heart
doily is from my stash, the hreat trinket pin is by Maya Road, and the flowers are from I Am Roses.

Christmas Easel Card

City Crafter Hostess,
Linda Robinson, wants to see some Christmas Easel Cards for the challenge this week.

Here is mine...

It's a combination of
Echo Park's This & That Christmas collection called "Christmas Time Memories" and Graphic 45's Nutcracker Suite collection "Endearing Sentiments".

They are teamed up
with Bazzill's Pomegranate and Recollection's Kraft cardstock.

I used Spellbinder's
Floral Doily Motif and Foliage dies. The metal corners and the key are by Momenta.

The red bloom is from
Maya Road and my cute gingerbread man is from Consumer Crafts, but must be discontinued now.
Be sure to check out the
easel cards the Design Team have created along with their Guest Designer, LeAnne at Wee Inkings

Thanks for stopping by today!

A City Crafter Make Over

Hostess Kirsty's
challenge at City Crafter's Challenge Blog for Week 132 is to do a Make Over.

I have a box full of
cards I made when I first started out that I don't particularly like, so this challenge provided some inspiration for me to try an upgrade on one of them.   Here is my before...

and my after...

I tore off that top mat
and put it on a new card base... new size, new color... French Roast by Core'dinations. Added a mat from Tim Coffey's K & Company Fall 12x12 pad.

Two new trims
and skeleton leaves and flowers from I Am Roses misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang Scintillating Silver Glitz Spritz.

A new organza bow
of Michael's ribbon topped with another misted I Am Roses flower.
What are your thoughts?

What Do You Do On A Rainy Day

I am really loving
paper pads! I find when I have them on hand, I don't have to search for long to find what I want to put together. As with this ...

I pulled out these...

and created a card.

I did a little
machine stitching and distressing - Black Soot Distress Ink. From my stash, I added a paper doily and some teeny tiny buttons, along with May Arts Red Burlap String. Next came the fun stuff... a couple of blossoms from I Am Roses that I sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Scintillating Silver Glitz Spritz.

The Prima bloom
is an old one... it got a mist of SS Glitz Spritz as well, and was teamed with an I Am Roses skeleton leaf and two pearl stick pins left over from my son's wedding.
Pretty simple... huh?
The verse on the Graphic 45 paper reads:
What do you do on a Rainy day,
Out in the pouring wet?
If your umbrella you have brought,
Laughing beneath you get!
Laugh, then, whether it's wet or fine,
It is your laughter gay
Makes the bright sun seem to shine,
Though 'tis a rainy day!
I thought of several occasion I can use this card for, and when the time comes, I will most likely add an additional sentiment at the bottom of the card.

I am entering my card in these challenges:

Monochromatic Memories

City Crafters Challenge
for the week is Monochromatic... set by our lovely Hostess, Linda Robinson.

Just make a card or project
using a monochromatic color theme. My card entry is rather creamy...

I went for the Prima
Printery collection teamed with cream cardstock and a dab of black. (I just realized that in taking my photos on a black background, you can't see my black cardstock card base... I'm so sorry for that! Nevertheless, there is a card base there... just rather hidden.)
The cream cardstock
mat is embossed with Cuddlebug's Script Texture embossing folder, the flowers are from I Am Roses and the leaves were made with a Martha Stewart Rose Leaf punch. The banner strip is a scrap of canvas I had leftover from another project. The chipboard butterfly is from Prima.

I followed this week's
sketch from Mojo Monday, which I think is one of the best I've ever seen... fabulous!!!

I hope you'll all have
a pleasant Thursday evening. It's been so beautiful here this week. The Penmaker and I just took a quick run to Starbucks to enjoy the weather. You know what's back, girls... Pumpkin Spice Latte!!! Isn't that just the best news of the day?

Bake Sale

is having a Bake Sale this week.

Hostess Kirsty says the
challenge is to include any baking images, like cakes, cupcakes, or make a recipe card, recipe box, or any home-baked item decorated with papers, or even anything related to baking. Yummmm!!!! Sounds good, huh?

The other night my
daughter-in-law, Sarah, and I were making chocolate chip cookies, and I remarked that my recipe (cut from a magazine about a million years ago) was getting in pretty bad shape. Ahhh, now is the perfect time to make a new card, and enter the City Crafters challenge all at once.

The papers are all old
ones from my stash. Red corrugated cardstock, Webster's Pages Spring Market, and a Crate Paper Random Collection sticker. The other paper I used had already been de-labeled, so I haven't a clue as to what it is... but it has cute tea and coffee pots all over it... perfect complement to cookies.
Be sure to check out the
CCCB Design Team's fabulous work and their Guest Designer is Rebecca Deeprose (awesome blog).

Thanks for stopping by!

Let's Do It Again At CCCB

City Crafter's Challenge #121
is Let's Do It Again and there is a fantastic image from The Graphics Fairy for you to use.

Hostess Linda Robinson
has set the theme of the challenge and she wants us to create a project using this beautiful GF image. Here is what I came up with...

I actually printed three
different sizes of the image and used them all on my card... one on the pocket envelope, one inside of it and the third on the upper right corner.

The paper is by Prima
from their Londonerry collection and sits on an ivory cardstock base. The flowers are from I Am Roses.

The pocket envelope
was cut with the Alterations Movers & Shapers Pocket Envelope die and is held shut with a bit of ivory burlap string from May Arts. The three green brads are from the My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart collection. The four inch paper doily is from my stash and is colored with Wild Honey Distress Ink as were the papers edges. I fussy cut one of the printed butterflies and added it the the right corner section.

Another  Papillon image
is adhered to a ticket and is tucked away in the pocket envelope.
Thank you so very
much to the sweet CCCB ladies... Kirsty, Linda, Ros and Cheryl for the opportunity to Guest Design. I'm so very thrilled to be back here for this week and have my card alongside their lovely creations. Now, how about you joining us!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs!
