This will be a long post... I have lots to tell you!
First... I'm so thrilled to be a Spotlight Artist
this week at City Crafter Challenge Blog for my Butterfly Garden card. Thank you so very much girls!!!
Second... CCCB Week #59 is Back to Basics.
Ros, as hostess this week, has challenged us to make a project using paint and recycled cardboard. How fun is that?!!!! LOVE it!
So, here is my entry...
I relied on my Pixie Kits for some of the papers...
American Crafts Canary, Olive and Kraft cardstock and Secret Garden from their DP Classics Collection.
I tore a flap off a box, peeled off the outer layer and
gave it a coat of ivory acrylic paint. I inked the entire piece when it was dry with Vintage Photo DI. I embossed a chipboard frame and inked it also. I punched the olive cardstock with the MS Oak Leaves punch and sprayed them with English Ivy Glimmer Mist. Punched another piece of the kraft cardstock with the MS Scallop Dot Punch and inked it.
This pebble butterfly was a Recollections closeout from
Michaels. I made two stacked butterflies using the Die-namic Butterflies Die and the Secret Garden DP and adhesive backed pearls. I attached the brown one with a Tim Holtz Memo Pin.
I stamped my sentiment onto a Stained Grungy Tag
from Kraft Outlet (thanks, Audrey). I'm really lovin these! Added wrinkled seam binding ribbon and a bow...
a shabby rose from Frog Feathers and Recollections
mini roses.
Hope you like it... it was fun to make!
Third... I haven't photographed the Penmaker's
creations for some time, so I wanted you to see just a few of the ones he has made in the last month.
He just keeps getting better at it...
and he gives them all away.
Have a Happy Day!
