I'm still working on stocking up
my masculine card stash. Today I made a get well card with a Civil War theme. These papers came from that terrific shop in Gettysburg, Forevermore Scrapbooks.
The cardstock is kraft and the main patterned paper is
from TPC Studio Grandma's Attic - Collectibles. The star paper is October Afternoon Rocket Age - Black Hole and the Civil War papers are from Sugartree #ST01 and PH189.
The sentiment is stamped with Vintage Photo Distress
Ink and is atop a stack of (1) cardboard - inked with VP and sprayed with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls Mist, (2) a scrap of burlap, (3) Sugartree PH189 cut with Spellbinders Large Deckled Rectangles and inked with VP, (4) same as #3 stamped with a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp Set.
A Tim Holtz Word Stick...
and a Metal Corner...
Mini Fasteners to finish... (HEART) Tim Holtz products!
The Penmaker decided to go Civil War also...
and made a Bullet Pen from English Walnut. Then he did a Polaris Pen with a South Pacific wood called Kwila.
Here's a better shot of the Bullet Pen. The
grain of this wood is just fabulous. Isn't this a gorgeous work of art? Love these things!
