Let It Sew

This week at Jingle Belles, the challenge
is to make a Christmas card incorporating sewing... hand-stitching, by sewing machine or even faux stitching by using a pen, a stamp or rub-ons.

So... here is my take...

Warning: These are NOT your traditional Christmas card colors...
but they go nicely with the Jingle Belles logo, right?!!!!!

As promised, I am using the La Dolce Vita Kit again.
I thought these DPs all blended perfectly together: Glitz Love Nest - Damask, Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology - Darling Doilies, American Crafts Classics - Wizard of Oz, and Sassafrass Sweetly Smitten - Pen Pals.

I cut black cardstock and Darling Doilies DP with
Spellbinders Lacey Circles dies. Popped them up with 3-D foam squares and glued on a fancy brooch I purchased from an Etsy shop. Added some MS punched Oak Leaves that I had misted with Cotton Candy Pink Starburst Spray from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

I used Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares, cutting
both white chipboard and Pen Pals DP. I glued them together leaving a bit of the chipboard show for a shadowed effect.

The sentiment is from my computer held with a
Tim Holtz Memo Pin and paired with a bow of seam binding ribbon.
Hope you like my non-traditional Christmas card.

I just had to show you the Penmaker's latest
creation, since the color matched every thing else on this page.

It's made from an acrylic blank called...
can you believe this... Fairie Garden. A perfect complement to all the other fairies and gardens (paper that is) that I've shown the last few weeks.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

My goodness, what an elegant and detailed card today,Linda! SO stunning! I absolutely adore all your layered die cuts. All the different edging is so eye catching. Love that brooch in the middle and the oak leaf punches. Love the sentiment held in the memo pin, too. And wow, does that pen ever match your creations well. Think YOU might need to keep that one. :)

The center of your gorgeous card reminds me of the fantastic brooches my mother wore in the 50s. So sparkly! And that pen is really cool...it truly does match everything on your post! BTW, I'm not sure if I ever thanked you for putting my blog on your blog roll, but Thank You! You are too kind. :)
