Happy Birthday, Dear Son!

My, how the years have
a way of passing at an alarming rate. Can it be that that baby boy I held in my arms is six foot one and is turning thirty two today? Wow, can hardy fathom it!
This is the card I created
for him made from DCWV's Timeless Type and Kaisercraft's 75 Cents on a kraft base.

There are lots of layers
on this one. If I can't pile on flowers... it has to be layers of patterned paper and die cuts all edged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I just had to put on two tiny Petaloo blooms and one leaf though. Since they were black and cream and heavily distressed, I felt they were appropriate.

There is a pocket between
the card base and the black mat, that I tucked a stamped tag into. The bow is of May Arts ivory burlap string and adorned with an Idea-ology muse token (the only bit of metal... surprisingly!)
Hope you are all doing
well. Our weather has been just gorgeous, and if there weren't so many people down in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN right now, that's were we would be. Ahhh, I just love to travel in the fall! Only three weeks until our new grandbaby is due though... can't leave for long if we do go off somewhere. Can hardly wait!

Thanks for stopping by!
Linda
