And you're probably
thinking... it's fall, Linda, not spring... but let me explain! I have a few sheets left of that beautiful Graphic 45 collection, Once Upon a Springtime, and thought it would make the perfect card for granddaughter Dixie's fifth birthday. It has the fairies, bunnies, birds and cute little mice on lovely soft shades of peach, green, gold and turquoise... do you remember it? That collection was a great choice for so many different things... for a baby shower, for a valentine or a romantic card for your sweetheart, birthday, anniversary... so many possibilities. It's a classic!
This is basically
a fairly simple card. I fussy cut several flowers from the papers, added a My Mind's Eye chipboard butterfly button along with some pieces of doily, and glued on one of Prima fantastic Serenity flowers (LOVE these).
Dixie was pretty happy
with it... along with her Ikea finger puppets and red velvet dress. Ahhhh... grandchildren! Is there anything as precious?
Today I'm working on
four new mini albums... two for Christmas, one for a granddaughter's school pictures and the fourth is the Scrappin in the Smokies album I mentioned last week. It's going to be pretty big, so I'll probably post photos of it as the pages are completed instead of waiting until it's totally done.
Craft room and renovation updates:
The Penmaker and I
had to take another trip to Pittsburgh to get more storage boxes at Ikea. I haven't had time to assemble them yet, so my room is still needing some finishing touches. I will post photos after that happens. We had a guy measure for kitchen cabinets this morning, but we are unsure of what we want to do in that room. The flooring is a puzzle to us... carpet??? Who knows? If we could have gotten a cabin tonight, we would have left this all behind and gone to Gatlinburg. Too bad we couldn't! Instead, I'm going to scrap!
Thanks for stopping by!
Linda

Wow Linda that is GORGeous!! I love the vintage look springy and fabulous with the layers of flowers ;)
Oh, yes, I remember that collection, and wow....so loving what you've done with it here. Does not look simple at all, my friend! Gorgeous layers. Loving the bits of doily peeking through and that big flower, too. And how fabulous is all that fussy cutting?! No wonder your little granddaughter loved it!
Sounds like you will be super busy with all those mini album projects. And the house projects, too. How fun! Looking forward to seeing it all!
